What a fabulous place. Stunning location, beautiful room, delicious food and attentive staff. We will most certainly be returning. NB very dog- friendly, lots of pooches, but we love dogs so no problem 😊 Very relaxing break.

Just had a lovely 3 night stay at the Meikleour Arms. Everything about our stay was wonderful in this truly dog friendly hotel. We started our stay in a hotel room, we then moved down to a cottage. Both accommodation was modern, comfortable and the cottage well kitted. We forgot to bring a dog bed with us and and one was provided. Small touches like the shortbread and biscuits for the dog was provided in the hotel room. We ate 3 nights in the restaurant where the food was delicious and plentiful with the dog getting a wee biscuit every now and then by staff. Everyone from the reception, dinner, breakfast and house keeping were pleasant, attentive, couldn’t do enough for you and nothing was too much trouble. Lots of dog walks from the door which my dog loved. I cannot rate this hotel enough and we will certainly be back.

Lovely hotel, our room was spacious, lovely big bed and bath. Partner is 6ft 3” so sloped ceilings a worry, but he managed fine. Couldn’t get an earlier booking for dinner (8pm) - you really have to book weeks ahead to get the time you want. Food and service very nice, good wine and great ambience. A lot of dogs! Luckily we like them so not an issue and they were well controlled. Staff friendly and efficient. Breakfast ok but not a lot of choice, surprising with a high AA rating for breakfast. No poached or boiled eggs, had a kedgeree for starter at dinner so didn’t fancy that. Maybe short staffed like so many hotels? Toast a bit strange- a bit like rusks, rather brittle! Nice touch with estate produced jam, honey and marmalade. Enjoyed our overnight stay.

The staff were extremely welcoming and attentive during our two night stay. The room, like the hotel, was exceptionally clean and tidy. Outside temperatures were very cold, but the ambient temperature in the hotel, and in our room, was comfortably warm. The food in the restaurant was reasonably priced, well prepared and nicely presented. We enjoyed our visit to the area and our stay in the hotel very much, and would recommend it without hesitation.

My hubby and I stayed at the Meikleour Arms for the first time last weekend. The location is idyllic surrounded by everything you expect from rural Perthshire. The hotel is quaint and decorated beautifully - you instantly get the Scottish x French theme with overarching luxury. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Staff are friendly and very efficient. We stayed in the Mercer room which was a good size, well appointed with all required mod cons and immaculate. The décor opulent but still in keeping with the rest of the hotel. Linens, toiletries etc all of good quality. A few nice extra touches such as homemade shortbread & a decanter of sherry. Room did get a bit noisy at times (located on the ground floor next to the door and reception) but not when we were going to sleep so not really an issue. Food was exceptional! Menu was seasonal and game heavy which is exactly what we hoped for given the area. Hearty rustic portions were well presented and packed with flavour. Best meal we’ve eaten in a long time. Overall, I really couldn’t recommend enough - can’t wait to return!!
