AMAZING STAFF AND LOCATION

We spent 4 days here for a girls trip. This hotel was perfect, from the free shuttle to/from airport and to/from the Mall of America each a quick 10 min ride, to the beds that were so comfy we slept in each day and the balcony was great for evening cocktails. The best part of the hotel is the staff: Betty, Melinda and Pete at the front desk are all super friendly and helpful. Dorothy, Cindy and Grant are the most entertaining and friendly shuttle drivers. Grant also makes a delicious cocktail at the Bistro. A BIG thank you to the staff for really making our trip so special.
Always a Jump Off Point

This is square one when departing for MSP. They always on the ball with one of the best park and fly rates in the area. Had to leave at the wee hours, however the night desk clerk made fresh coffee for us. Those little touches make this our go to place, the day before departing from MSP.
Missed flight, unexpected stay.

After a missed flight out of MSP we had no choice but to spend the night here. Airport shuttle service to and from the airport was excellent. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. COVID issues had the hotel restaurant, and pool closed. There are no eating places within walking distance of this place, but Myra at the front desk gave us suggestions for delivery and some Chinese take out. She was super friendly and helpful. I didn't want to spend a night in Minneapolis before my trip to Mexico, but the staff made my stay pleasant and it was a good place to spend the night.
Rudest Marriott Employee Ever!

This is a beautiful property, with a gorgeous courtyard garden and spacious rooms very clean and updated within past 5 years. It has the classic Marriott look, elegant and laid back at the same time. But there is one problem: an employee here in management who I have decided not to name (but her name starts with an M)is incredibly rude. Check in last nite was unpleasant and difficult. She became visibly upset when I requested an upstairs room as opposed to a downstairs room due to the fact that I was a solo female traveler. As it turns out, this hotel is barely occupied like many hotels due to Covid so not only was I alone, but I was basically in a partly empty hotel. She should have gladly given me a second floor. Although she did give me the second floor, it was with many complaints and huffing and puffing. My sister who did not stay with me witnessed her behavior and agreed it was more than unpleasant. She claimed because I was travelling with a dog, I should be on first floor. This morning, as I went to pour a cup of coffee,in the lobby ,she came rushing out. You can't do that, I do that. She just about yelled at me. She poured me the coffee, shoved it to the side brusquely, and walked to the counter. I love coming to Marriotts because the staff is always excellent and welcoming. This person is not representative of the Marriott brand. And she is a manager here. That being said, Betty last nite at the front desk was very nice and made my evening wonderful.
Nice hotel, shuttle sucked

Hotel was nice, very clean. Shuttle to airport was right on time. However, getting a ride back from the airport was a joke. After more than an hour we ended up taking a cab on our own back. Very unhappy.
