Great place. Room was clean and had everything I needed including fast internet. Chinese food restaurant across the street was fantastic for dinner as well as "Stacks" down the street for breakfast. Both within easy walking distance. I came to Menlo Park for a medical appointment and it could not have been more convenient.
Gem of a place to stay

Rooms are spacious and clean. Plenty of parking. Convenient to restaurants. You don't need to pay big brand priced hotels. I definitely recommend you check Menlo Park Inn out if you're staying in the area.
Great location & value in Silicon Valley

Clean, nicely updated & very well-managed motel in a great location - easy walk to downtown MP and Santa Cruz Ave, many shops & eateries nearby. My room was just as pictured/advertised, well furnished/equipped for business (work desk, convenient ports), and came with a mini fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, and nice armchair with ottoman.
I stayed 4 nights and was glad to have this comfortable, affordable, well-located lodging in pricey Silicon Valley. Ricardo the manager & other staff are service-minded & helpful, and Ricardo kindly took care of a 5th night cancellation that I wasn't able to do through hotels.com. MP Inn offers a professional welcome at a friendly price.
Should Be Called The Worst Inn

The clerk who checked me in, Sophia, made me wait in lobby for 90 minutes for the room.
The night clerk gave another guest keys to my room and they tried to enter at 10:30 pm while I was sleeping. The clerk then came up and pounded on the door and said "so who's in this room?" When I refused to open the door, the intellectually challenged clerk finally figured out it was best to call and ask her question.
Staff is beyond incompetent. Walls are super thin, I could hear everything the neighbors said. Housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. There is no breakfast. Do not recommend.
GOOD THING - SMALL PACKAGE

Privately own Menlo Park Inn (1315 El Camino Real, Menlo Park, CA) is that little gem of a motel full of surprising comforts. Stanford is 5 minutes away, whether it’s the luxurious Shopping Center, the prestigious University, the world-famous Hospital, or all those tech businesses such as SLAC stretched along Sand Hill Road. The MPI will make your meeting, lecture or hospital visit, a relaxing stopover.
They know what their guests want in pricey Silicon area – Free parking, Free Wi-fi, Free Breakfast (on hiatus during Covid19), Free Starbucks pods for your Keurig in-room coffee maker, a microwave and mini-fridge.
The Inn is U shaped, so rooms overlook the car slots below. No elevator but an outside, wide staircase to 2nd level that’s easy to walk. You will be so grateful for their Modest cost. This is where you get Hotel service at Motel price. (BTW, I discovered I left my favorite boots under the bed. I called them from my home and they are shipping them back to me!!!)
Got Room 205, King Deluxe, loved the crisp, white bedding, wide working desk with plug ins, ergonomic swivel chair, chocolate velvet bed bench, flat screen TV and cable, wide comfy sofa chair and matching ottoman. Soft color scheme, modern artwork and spacious layout.
LOVED the guest gifts – TempleSpa’s LaLa Lagoon bath/shower gel that made my skin soft and fragrant, and the Peace Be Still calming face & body balm. (Wonderful products that I bought online when I got home). My favorite feature, besides the amazing JBL Horizon2 Bluetooth clock radio, & DAB, is in the separate bathroom. The vintage push up window had new frosted glass and was easy to raise, if, like me, you prefer fresh air at night.
Front Desk is helpful and knowledgeable if you need suggestions for restaurants, boutiques, or even auto shops – which was my need when my service light came on during the three-hour drive from Santa Rosa area. Roberto at the Desk asked if I had a preference in oil change companies, told him I did not, and he said that M&R Auto Repair half a block down takes excellent care of their guests.
I can highly recommend M&R Auto Repair (talk to Rinaldo) where I left my Prius and keys and strolled up to Barrone’s Bistro (Roberto’s tip) 2 blocks up at corner of Santa Cruz Ave.
I sat outside at the fountain and enjoyed fresh, crispy ling cod sandwich and wine lunch, shopped next door at Kepler’s Books then walked back to M&R where I paid for the oil change and was surprised when they handed the keys and said my car had already been delivered back to MPI! That saved me drive around the block and fighting El Camino Real traffic! That is what I call Real service!
