A sleepless night
Avaliou em 2 de Setembro de 2021
The night clerk likes to smoke so she's always in the courtard; had to walk back and forth after hurricane Ida twice with keys that didn't work. Elevator broken. Lots of slamming doors all night. The hotel does not look like these pics anymore but has been redone in beige and black with stark blue-white lights that give the rooms a very cold robotic feel. The door had a stain on it, on the other side the handle was stained. The remote had a white dried stain on it. The bathroom towel rack had broken. All of the cabinets have drawer handles that stick out, even the ones on the sink and it pokes you. The dresser is so close to the bed that it's laughable. The bed is very high and I could not get comfortable. I heard the people above and beside me so much that it woke me up. Every sort of sound and the ac is so quiet there is no way to drown it out but the tv - two huge tvs was nice but no tv guide so you have no idea what you are watching. I would not recommend. Try the Comfort Inn.
Very spacious with a friendly staff.

This hotel offers all suites, friendly staff, and only a couple of minutes from downtown Carlisle. The room options are almost identical. Except for a wall and door separating the living room from the bedroom. The king space, is all open, the queen has the smaller bed but has a wall and door making two rooms instead of one. The addition of the wall, really makes the bedroom feel small. So I preferred the room with a King bed and no additional wall. (I've stayed here twice)
All rooms have a functional kitchen with full size refrigerator and dishwasher. Along with needed cookware for use on the cook top. Nice furniture and big flat screen TV.
My only complaint is the location. There is a major truck-stop at the only intersection to access this hotel and the trucks can be a bit annoying causing traffic delays.
Normally clean, but not this time

We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past as it is halfway on our route from Maine to SC. Normally it is very clean, but we did not have that experience this time. We found a dirty knife in the silverware drawer; it was covered in dried peanut butter. We also found a dirty mug in the cupboard, and there was a bottle of tomato juice and a bottle of cooking oil in another cupboard. Needless to say we reported it to the front desk and we washed everything beforfe we used it. The kitchen floor appeared to have been mopped with a dirty mop. This was especially concerning during a pandemic. We were led to believe that hotels were taking extra care with their cleaning, but it was obviously not so at this location. We happened to stay at a Staybridge Suites a couple weeks before and they handled the dishes by washing them before you arrived and leaving them in the dishwasher so you knew they had not been touched by anyone. I think that might be a good policy for any extended stay hotel. We were very disappointed because we normally love Residence Inn and thought it would be the best place during a pandemic because we are not going to restaurants and we could prepare our own food in the kitchen. The cleaning policies need attention, ASAP. Residence Inn claims they are leaving disinfecting wipes in the room, but we did not find any. The front desk staff were very apologetic and would have changed our room, but by then we were all unpacked and it would have been a huge inconvenience. After 11 hours on the road it would have been too much.
All the comforts of home!

All the comforts and necessities of home in a comfortable suite! Couldn't ask for anymore. Even the staff was exceptional considering the circumstances of COVID -19. This will be my future "go-to" when being in Carlisle, Pa.

Excellent finding accommodations that are open, clean and convenient.
Staff was great.
Due to the COVID-19, they did not have the breakfast buffet. However they provided “To Go” bags, with breakfast snacks.
This was very much appreciated.
Our room was clean, and quiet.
Having a full kitchen was great, especially a full-size refrigerator. Not all rooms have stoves with an oven, some are a built in cooktop. (FYI)
The location is very close to the, I 81.
Our second time staying here. Would definitely stay here again.
There is a big Love’s truck stop nearby, convenient for gas and coffee while getting back on the highway.
