I don't know how old those pictures are on the website but they need to be changed. We turned up at the Swan Inn, midhurst. Barman was pleasant enough. Room however wasn't. Stairs upto the room, needed hoovering. We were put in room 7. Kettle was dirty, walls were dirty and some places were damp and water damaged. Pillows, were pretty much non existing they were so flat and need throwing out. Sheets had white marks on them. Didn't want to find out what that was. Light fitting was so dusty, I have never seen anything that bad. The carpet had not been hoovered either. There was a flannel in the bathroom that looked like it had been used to clean shoes. Breakfast was suppose to be in the cafe opposite. We didnt stay for breakfast, infact we didnt stay full stop. We did no more than picked up our bags and walked out. Lesson learnt, do always trust the reviews.

I couldn’t be happier with the service of the owner. Was prepared to accommodate my 3 year old, the room was clean, warm and we had a great nights sleep! Four poster bed was a bonus. Probs lay the most comfortable bed I’ve stayed in. And my daughter had a great time. (Having a bar downstairs that was quiet was also a winner).

DISGUSTING, broken toilet seat, broken shower attachment and shower that didn’t work and only one hand towel for two. Smelly room with limp pillows and smelly bedding. Advertised as B&B if you want to walk 10 minutes to the restaurant for breakfast in the pouring rain. No site of owners. STAY AWAY. Couldn’t wait to get home and have a shower to feel clean. Should be closed down.😱🤢🤢💀

We’ve visited and eaten here before. When we. Visited for a meal recently only to find out the website is hopelessly out of date - the kitchen is closed and they have no chef - appears the staff say it’s been like this for 6months since new owners took over and have done nothing about it. However the website still has a menus

Just returned from a lovely 2night stay at The Swan Inn for a nearby wedding. We had little people with us (aged 6 and 3) and the owner and staff couldn’t have been kinder or more accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The Inn (as is the town) is oldy-worldly in the best ways, the beds comfortable and there is plenty of heating once you’ve turned up the radiator. Breakfast in the Wheatsheaf a couple of mins away (included in the room price) was delicious and, again, wonderfully friendly. Would definitely return.
