My fiancé and I, with is coworker, came here To spend a night for a work trip. As we pulled in we didn’t feel safe. We walked up to the repetition and there was a homeless man growling at us eating trash and trying to pry open the door. As we got into the elevator we realized he had gotten into the building. Not only this, there was a drug party on our floor. Five men starting following my fiancé and coworker. There was visible prostitution and drug use in the hotel. Once we got into the room, there was blood all over the floor and the sheets weren’t clean. We heard people doing drugs within our walls. We immediately called a different hotel and left. They REFUSED to give us our money back because we were 3 mins late (after the 30 min cancellation time/ which we didn’t know). My fiancé waited in the car while we told the front desk we felt unsafe (skid row unsafe) and as she was in the car a woman who stayed at the hotel (barefoot) and high started banging on the car. She then prostituted herself in the parking lot and street walked and got into another car. THIS PLACE IS NOT SAFE. IT IS A CRACK HOUSE. The saddest part was the poor children who’s mothers were one drugs and staying/ living there. Bless them and the trauma they will face. This is the worst experience/ place I have ever been.... and I grew up in West Virginia in a house of heroin addicts. STEER CLEAR.
RUN, don’t walk away from this place as fast as you can!!!!
This is the creepiest, nastiest hotel that I have seen in a very long while. The looks online are deceiving. Online it appears to be decent, but it s in a very dicey part of town, the lobby smells like marijuana, and the guys working the counter are the ultimate creepy. I called first and the guy put me on hold for 6 minutes. Then when we got there and were inquiring about checking in, the desk attendant tried to justify why they charges separate 100$ deposit to stay in their rooms. He said their clientele has been known to smoke pot and do drugs in the room, and there have been cases where customers would bleed on the mattresses and bedding, they would break doors, etc. at this point we left...
My friend and I shared a double room and the bed was comfortable and amenities were adequate. Breakfast included scrambled eggs and sausage which was nice and there were several tables for eating. Hotel clerk was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
As frequent business travelers, we usually stay at a different Choice Hotel in Turlock, but the $130 price for the night was too high. Just a few more miles was a Quality Inn for $65. We have stayed at this hotel on Kansas St. before and were met by a police car and officer. We should not have risked it again. For the 12 hours we were there I can overlook the 4 broken tiles in the bathroom and the dirty hallway carpet, but our truck was broken into and a bag was stolen. It didn’t have much of value in it but it’s creepy to think of someone riffling through your stuff. We didn’t notice it until an hour down the road. When we called the clerk was OK— sorry etc., but no offer to look for it ( I’m sure my knitting was tossed when it didn’t turn out to be valuable) or have the manager call. Same thing the next day— sorry but no action. The manager still hasn’t called. WE WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN! I suggest you don’t either.
