Warm, Inviting, and Endearing Hotel
We loved this gem located in Montecatini Terme, Italy. The rooms were comfortable and the owners were absolutely lovely! We loved the breakfast they served in the morning which offered a lot of homemade treats and delicious coffee. The parking lot (a short distance from the hotel) is free and the lobby is beautiful. Definitely worth the price!
Great budget hotel
If you are on a somewhat tight budget this hotel is very nice. We got a four person room (105) is was very neat and spacy, also it was equiped with airco! The to gentlemen who run the place are very sweet and try to give you advise about exploring Tuscany. The breakfast is okay for what you can expect. A lot of cake and cookies, there also is bread with cheese and ham. Overall a great hotel.
Quaint, quirky and endearing. A pleasant experience
We stayed just one night here en-route south, having planned well in advance and made the booking several months' in advance. On arrival at the hotel, we met the owner who advised us we could park outside just for unloading our bags, then a few blocks away at a free car park or close by and paying. So we chose the free car park and whilst a good 7-8 mins walk, was helpful in seeing a few places to visit/eat whilst there. Back at the hotel, the owner advised us that due to overbooking we would be staying at an associate hotel just along the street...but would still be having to to return to 'our' hotel for breakfast and check-out in the morning. A bit strange, but not a problem. So we checked in at the 2nd place where the room was lovely, full of traditional Italian style and comfortable. We were told the hotels were similar in build, style, quality so we can only base our views on this. In the morning we returned to hotel #1 for breakfast, which was fine (standard Italian etc) and had a nice chat with the owner who was a charming, helpful and clearly a well-travelled man. Both him and his counterpart at the other hotel were a pleasure to deal with, the town was lovely and the whole experience, whilst quirky, was good.
Room is OK, very clean, lot of space, good bead. In the room is installed air condition but using of it costs 5€/day more. That is not OK. Breakfast is very skiny. One peace of chesee and ham with one cop of tea and coffie. Some peaces of butter with jam is also reliable, but all in all, bad breakfast. Staff is kind and pleasent.
Warm and fuzzy feeling
The first time I stayed at this hotel was 3 years ago and have recommended it to many. Value for the money spent. I love budget hotels and this one fits the bill. Free breakfast is satisfying. The owners made me feel like a special guest every day. Perfect location for travelling to Florence, Luca and Pisa. Great cheap resaurant just 200m away towards town. Owner gave me a bottle of wine on my last day!
