Everything was exceptional. Quiet area,clean room, comfortable bed and pillows, great staff. I travel with a service dog and they all welcomed her as well. I stay here repeatedly as it is difficult to find good hotels in a convenient area that don't have highway noise.

Bugs in the room, unfriendly night desk staff.

Upon arrival ~5pm local time two women were working the desk. One of them attempted a smile that was quickly replaced with a frown and the other one didn't even try to be friendly. Maybe they both had a bad day... My room had numerous flies, lady bugs, two different kinds of small spiders in it. Lady bugs don't bother me but flies and spiders! I tried to tough it out but began to feel bites/itching. It got to the point that I requested another room. I went to the front desk and unfriendly woman #2 apologized but said something about "that time of year and lady bugs finding their way into the room". Right. Even if you believe that some attempt should have been made to remove ALL bugs from the room. Plus with other bugs in the room, I wondered how thoroughly they clean and fumigate. The room I moved into only had two lady bugs in it so I toughed it out and stayed the night. The breakfast was very good and the morning staff were friendly. Somehow this property has a 4.5 Rating on TripAdvisor, which is the sole reason I chose to stay there. I can't recommend this hotel to anyone and would not stay there again.

The Cleanest Hampton

We stay at the Hampton Inn most times during our travels. This particular on is probably the nicest one I ever stayed in. The entire room was impeccably clean and everything in the bathroom was working perfectly. I'm not even sure that all was new but it certainly looked like it. The complementary breakfast was sufficient. Furniture was all in great shape and clean. To top it off, the desk staff were the friendliest and most upbeat people, very welcoming and accomodating. Cracker Barrell is a just parking lot away so we walked there for dinner. I look forward to staying here again when I travel this way.

Serves Its Purpose - and a Little More

I usually look for unique, independent hotels, but I simply needed somewhere to sleep on the way to WV. As a chain hotel, it served its purpose - in that it provided a clean room to sleep that felt familiar and was as expected. Some consider Hampton Inns as middle of the road, but this location is different in that the staff that I talked to seemed super chill, kind, and glad to be helping. This hotel is also above average in that the construction and design didn't seem to take any shortcuts, so the entire property felt taken care of, updated, and polished. Hampton Inn Morristown is off an exit on I-81 and up a short side street, almost at a dead end. (In fact, I didn't realize that I needed to be looking for the back of the hotel from the main road.) It's location was super helpful on my journey.

Excellent accommodations!

We previously had stayed in this same hotel 4 years ago. Since then, the hotel has been reappointed with all the nice improvements to make this location tops on our list when in this area! The room was very clean and inviting. The bedding was very comfortable providing a good night's sleep. The traffic noise from the interstate was virtually non-existent, but the noise from the secondary road fronting the hotel does provide noise, particularly from trucks downshifting (jake braking). I would suggest reserving a room, if on the upper floors, on the rear of the hotel, which is actually the side with the front entrance. Very pleased with our stay and we will be back!
