Welcoming staff

We decided to stay at Marine Piazza Okinawa thanks to the reviews shared in TripAdvisor. We felt warmly welcomed when we checked in the hotel even though the staff were struggling abit with conversing in English. They were very friendly still and did their best to answer our queries. This is the most spacious hotel room which we had stayed in during our trip. The twin beds felt comfortable and spacious (PS: we are on the petite side). There is a big balcony facing the sea and we could hang out wet laundry to dry on a drying line provided. There were clothes pegs provided which we found inside the wardrobe. There were at least 2 sets of futon which our children slept on. There was a spacious platform next to the wardrobe for setting the futon beds. The breakfast buffet even had a children buffet table; at the children’s height =) with ingredients and sandwich makers for the children and parents to DIY their sandwiches. There are also finger food for the children. The normal buffet spread is mainly Japanese cuisine which we absolutely loved. There is a large green field outside the reception level which had swings made from logs; see-saws; hula loops and more which our children enjoyed a lot. There was a building next to them which has dolphin programs (at your own cost) eg swimming with the dolphins. We were thankful we had the best sleep at this hotel. Definitely a hotel we can return to again and with longer stays.

Expansive room with great view!

You probably will never find a hotel room larger than this in all of Japan! Our room has 2 queen beds, a lounge set and a large tatami area. Not only that the closets were full of extra bedding and pillows - in addition to very comfortable robes and slippers for 4 persons! I also love about everything else at this hotel - from the restaurant serving Okinawan cuisine buffet in the evening, to the sumptuous breakfast, to the large green lawn, to the dolphin nursery to the wonderful ocean view. Will return if I could!

Beautiful scenery, amazing service & breakfast with kids playground

We had a wonderful stay here and would definitely come back again. Breakfast was amazing with variety. Location is 5-10 minutes drive to the famous Churaumi aquarium. There's an outdoor playground with swing located at the hotel and even an onsen as well. Foot massager provided in the room. Love the view from the balcony where you can see dolphins from the nearby dolphin village. As with most part of Okinawa, staying here will require you to drive to get to places.

This is a beautiful place. The view from the Piazza to IeShima island were breath taking. Make sure when you travel to Okinawa that you get to the aquarium. The huge tank that was constructed to house the Whale Sharks is almost 2 feet thick.

Great for kids, but dated property

Great for kids: there's a kids room with Lego Duplo, TV cartoons, ping-pong and other toys. Large grassy area with small playground/sand pit, free use of baseball mitts, bicycles, basketball and even a bunch of animals to view (horse, turtles, fish, goats). Hotel is walking distance to Genki Village with lots of activities like fishing, dolphin swimming, boating etc. Lots of great ocean views. They also have a public bath. Hotel definitely has dated interior: carpets look like they haven't been refreshed...ever. But overall the room was clean and comfortable. Excellent room size: we had 2 double beds + desk area + a full tatami area. All the rooms have a balcony that provides ocean view and also overlooks the Genki Wellness Village next door, with dolphin show! You could actually catch a free dolphin training show from your room. Bathroom was dated, but clean. We requested a crib for our baby and no issue with space. (Note: we had to call in and request in Japanese (with some assistance). No email address for the hotel so a little inconvenient for foreigners). We noticed there's no insulation in the hallways (probably to make it cooler in the summers), but sound travels easily so it can be noisy in early morning or evenings when guests talk. The staff had limited English, but passable and we had no issues. Lots of parking. Definitely need to rent a car if you are staying out here. Very short drive to Okinawa Aquarium. Nice spread for breakfast (included), both Japanese and Western, but beware that food isn't replenished starting ~9AM (breakfast closes at 9:30). They provide high chairs or boosters for children. Note: WiFi only available in hotel lobby. They clearly state this limitation, but in case you didn't notice in the hotel details :) Also, swimming pool has very limited hours (only open after 1PM), so we couldn't make use of it.
