As a long standing Hilton Diamond member I have often come in contact with some of HIlton’s best employees. My recent trip to Mount Pleasant HGI was made tremendous with the little acts of kindness and attention to detail from Asst Group Beverage DIrector Michelle Jervey. Michelle is a model employee of Hilton and she makes everyone she meets feel like a Diamond Member!

A great overnight spot for Charleston/Mt. Pleasant

My brother and I took our wives to dinner & a concert in Charleston. Rather than drive an hour+ home we decided to stay overnight. We chose the Hilton Garden Inn based on price/easy access for the return home the next day. It was a simple 1 night stay over, BUT, everything was PERFECT. The lobby was fresh and open, nicely decorated and had a dining area and bar. The rooms were clean and neat as a pin. The Breakfast buffet in the morning was economically priced and the service was fantastic. The buffet included all the usual items on the buffet but individual order eggs/omelets as well.

This property provided a wonderful experience after a few disappointing ones at some other properties (not Garden Inns). The room was beautiful and very clean! The shower was very roomy and the alarm clock was easy to use. Two special things about the bathroom: the shower control was in the perfect position to allow starting the shower without getting wet and the hot water arrived quickly. The towel bars in the shower were a nice addition, too. As with any bathroom, even more towel bars to allow towels to dry between uses would be nice, especially since we are being encouraged to reuse our towels. It seems all hotels think travelers are tall. It would be nice if the shower heads were lower or maybe a handheld option could be added. An additional shelf under the vanity would be helpful. We had two items that needed attention and they were addressed immediately! Another suggestion for the hotel: Perhaps a light could be added in the area of the fridge-microwave-Keurig (love it!). Overall, this was a great experience and we plan to visit Charleston again and we WILL be staying in the Mt. Pleasant Garden Inn!

This is not a fancy hotel. That said, what it is, is a very good place with wonderful staff. The place was very clean. The rooms aren't huge but they are sufficient in size. Breakfast was extra but I definitely spent less for their buffet than if I had gone to a restaurant. It's in a quiet area with an outdoor pool. You can walk to a few restaurants, plus they have food there. For sightseeing, the only walkable area is the pleasant park under the Ravenel Bridge which has a nice playground, a snack restaurant, fishing supplies, a nice walkway with seating and historical markers. Otherwise, you probably will need a car.

Kiera at the front desk was super helpful and polite! She had a very positive attitude and made the check in process quick and easy. Any issues I had during my stay she had a genuine interest in finding a solution to the problem. This made my experience at Hilton Garden Inn worth while!
