We throughly enjoyed our stay! The room was very nice, roomy, clean and what a view of the harbor! All of the staff that we encountered were polite, friendly and courteous! The location was convenient to Patriots Point which is a must see!

Could have been better

Check-in was terrific, and they made us feel so welcome. The resort is beautiful, and our room had a fantastic harbor view. It wasn't until that evening, as we were winding down to sleep, that a wet shop vacuum was loudly being used two doors down from us for over an hour. When I called guest services to inquire, they said a pipe had burst in the hallway, and they didn't know how long this would take. There was no sleeping! The sound was awful, and you couldn't hear the TV while we waited for them to finish. During check out was even more disappointing. The young girl at the desk was more interested in seeing pictures from another guest couple than checking us out. She didn't ask how our stay was, and no thank you for staying. She barely spoke to me other than to exchange the key card for the pass to exit parking before returning to the other couple and the other guest service attendant. It added to my disappointment with this trip, except for the room view.

We have stayed here several times in winter and summer and it’s always perfect! The hot tub was wonderful, the heated pool was great, and the food at the fish house was fantastic! This is my favorite place in Charleston!

Great Spot for winter getaway

This was a perfect spot for our winter getaway. Amenities were outstanding and views of Charleston harbor were beautiful. Staff was slow to assist at both hotel and connected dining option, The Fish House, but that won't keep us from returning.

So close to good

Overall, recommend if you don’t need any staff help and are looking for a cheaper option for location + pools. When we checked in it was hurried and the staff could have cared less, we were given a token and told it was for the ship store, later finding out it was a nice gesture for two free drinks. We weren’t told anything about where to eat, gym, etc. we had a 2yr old in tow and they didn’t even mention there was a kids ice skating rink and bounce houses ON the property free for guests, which was great minus the Karen running it. Cons: Unhelpful staff, terrible internet (in our room zero), awkward suite layout, and sub-par rooms (compared to what you would expect). Pros: nice lobby/pools, docks, view, and location. COVID likely forced the cons, I bet in a year or two it’ll be back to high-end CHS hotels Do the Yorktown, don’t take a two year old
