A Small But Splendid and peaceful Lanna Style Resort in Chiangmai

Spent a night here after trekking at the mountain. The place is such a gem hiding in the and noisy Chiangmai center - reminding me of the beautiful river and forest I just left. The place is small, cozy and green with traditional Lanna style buildings surround the right size clean swimming pool. My room is classy decorated, clean and comfortable. Staffs are kind, helpful and attention to detail. Breakfast is simple but yummy and lovely set. Shameful I only enjoy 1 night there. Since I love this place, I will return again.

We stayed at HongKhao for 8 nights in January 2020. We honestly think it was one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had! Every single person on staff is personable, friendly, and dying to be of service - Thanya was particularly wonderful to work with, and we felt like we became good friends with her while we were there. The room (we had their largest suite) was lovely, along with the grounds. Every time we went out for an excursion, we felt like we were coming home when we returned to the hotel. Plus: the complementary breakfast is just fabulous! A bit out of the main drag, but that was a plus for us. We can't wait to return to HongKhao Village!

We usually stayed at our preferred hotel such as Starwood or IHG hotels. Since it is only for 1 night we wanted to try some local hotel. We picked Hongkao Village that only has of 9 rooms. The decor is very Thai traditional and we love them. Very clean and quiet. Hotel staff were very friendly. Their room door is using the manual key lock and we will need to pad lock the room when we go out. Interesting not the model digital key card. We have our sunny side up and they tasted really good. Why, maybe we were happy with the place and staff. Price of the room is good and definitely value for money. Will return. when ever be back to Chiangmai

Very memorable stay!

We stayed here on the 1st leg of our 3 week holiday in thailand our expectations were exceeded. staff were so friendly, special mention to tania,porn and the young gentlemen who work here they were very very welcoming and we felt very at home. Rooms are lovley and clean. The team have kindly rescued 3 kittens aswell so they live here all very friendly and keep themselves to themselves although the small grey one is partial to a pet and cuddle. Thankyou to all the people working here you made our stay unforgettable.

My parter and I just recently spent a few days here whilst travelling. It’s beautiful! It’s very authentic, and a lot of the hand made furniture really keeps in touch with the history of the place. The staff were really friendly and extremely helpful. We were away early in the morning for a day trip and would miss breakfast so the staff prepared a packed lunch for us to take away which was very nice of them. They were also very helpful with directions and they even kept our luggage for an extra day as we had another trip booked (at no extra charge). We had a great stay here and would thoroughly recommend to anyone. There was a good mixture of couples and families but there was absolutely no trouble at all. Place is spotless and the swimming pool area is so peaceful.
