A lovely place to stay

We had passed by the apartments on our way to the beach and when we tried to book the apartments we have stayed in for the last three years, they were fully booked. We thought about the Christina apartments as we have always liked the look of them, we were not disappointed, it was very nice and comfortable. They are ideally located for the beach and also all the amenities of the beautiful village of Panormos. Markela the manager is very nice and helpful and her Mum Maria.

This place was a last minute get away and what a gem. Nikos, Kostas and Stephanie are just wonderful. Trips to mountain villages for evening meals are arranged for you by Nikos transport 10 course meze and drink for 15 euro's. There are many restaurants just a few minutes walk. The beach is sand and shingle but you can walk to Rethymnon if you want. I have done a separate review on the rooms. Thank you Nikos and Kostas you are a star team.

Lovely choice in a beautiful spot

We had booked another hotel in Panormos but arrived to find our room unavailable (?). We want around the corner to this spotless place and were shown a studio room with a full kitchen and view of the sea for only €35 per night. Just delightful... Wish we had been able to stay longer. With a full kitchen we visited the local butcher and stores and cooked up a storm. Panormos is a lovely town to stop in between Rethymnon and Heraklion - at least it is early in the year (we were there late May). Good swimming and not crowded... Pleasant town close to interesting places in the hills (eg Arkadi Monastery)... Within a short drive of Heraklion and the airport.

We were really pleased with the Christina Apartments, after a booking a very late deal we were not sure what to expect but very pleasantly suprised. Nikos and Costas are the so welcoming and make you feel at home as soon as you arrive. The rest of the staff are also brillant and can't do enough for you. When our coach pulled up we were a bit concerned it was close the road but this was no problem at all, it good to be close to the shops and resturants. The pool area is great and the beach really is a 2 minute walk if that. Our room was spacious and very clean, we had excellent views of the pool and sea. I would really like to go back to The Christina and the fact that so many people we met there have been going for many years says a lot. Great for famlies and couples, as if you don't like to be around children in maybe the school holidays the beach is a really good escape.

Small friendly group of appartments. Very good location excellent sea views, easy acess to two lovely beaches. Selection of good tavernas nearby.
