Nice view, fine restaurant and comfortable room

The hotel is at the side of Lake Biwa, the largest lake in Japan. Most guest rooms have a nice view of the lake and the parks along the lake shore. Guest rooms are clean and comfortable. The restaurant provides good quality Japanese and western cuisines. The surrounding is quiet and peaceful. It has been a wonderful stay for us.

The hotel looks quite old but when we step inside the hotel, it just looks grand and as new. The staff was very nice, as I arrived before check in time, she straight away understand that I wanted to store my luggage and going out for sightseeing. The hotel has its own souvenir shop, which is very convenient to guest as they do not need to walk a long distant to buy any gift. The closest gift shop is about 700m to 1km away. The room is big in japan standard, which it worth the money I had spent. The buffet has quite a variety of food, which is very surprise. Even thought Japanese food still the main presentation in buffet, but they do offer western and chinese food. Another main reason for giving out 5 star is that you can enjoy the beautiful lake biwa while having your breakfast !

This is a resort hotel which stands on the shore of a lake, and is an area for hot spring bath. The room is adequate for travellers being clean and tidy and provides all your required needs. The service is very efficient as on one occasion the staff turn out immediately to fix the electricity upon a short circuit in the room. Wi-Fi is provided throughout the Hotel vicinity. Separate hot spring bathrooms are provided for male and female. In the bathroom there are two pools namely indoor and outdoor. The outdoor one is well decorated giving one the feeling of having the bath in the stream. Changing area is clean and well equipped with your needs. Two meals are provided I.e. dinner and breakfast. The variety/quality of the food, though cannot be described as outstanding, should be said to be of good standard and well presented. Overall enjoy my stay and do enjoy twice in the bathroom once in the evening and the other in early morning.

The hotel was much nicer then the ones I stayed at in Osaka. The breakfast buffet was ok. Very roomy and clean. Staff was very nice as well. Nice views of Lake Biwa and the garden area around the hotel was nice.

Good sized rooms, outdated decor and carpets

This hotel overlooks Japan's largest lake. The rooms are quite big, and the bathrooms excellent. Pity then that the carpets need replacing, as do all the room furniture. The dinner at the hotel was adequate, but not up to normal Japanese standard.
