It's at location where there isn't much around (walking distance), but close enough to other tourist places (e.g. Churaumi Aquarium, Nakajin castle ruins) by car (around 10~20min). The rooms were reasonably clean, room size is quite big, but smallish bathroom. staff spoke some english. Cheap price compared to other hotels closer to the seaside. Not much food options if you don't want to drive out, have a restaurant at the ground floor that is so-so, but quite a few hotel guests seems to eat there. Morning breakfast buffet is simple, limited selection. A hot "onsen" style bath is available. A mix of Japanese hotel guests and asian (taiwan/Hong Kong) guests.

A Japanese style value hotel 10-min away from Churaumi Aquarium

The name has been chnaged to Resort Hotel Buena Vista Nakijin. The hotel was located at the country side so it has a limited access to retail shops by feet, but it was much quiet with large & free parking lot though. The restaurant at 1st floor proivded plenty of local foods at very reasonable prices. It looked like a Tapas restaurant in Okinawa not in Spain. I didn't need to go out for the dinner. The room was a bit old but much clean. The public bath in 1st floor was very efficient to get rests from the trips. It was a cheap hotel in northern Okinawa but you could get more than you paid.

- Do not be taken in by the hotel's name - Buena Vista Resort. A Buena Vista (good view) it does not provide. We had east facing rooms and had Route 505 in front of us, and a large tract of farmland behind that. And a resort it certainly is not. There is a hot public bath that is open from 1800 to 2300 daily, but the water is tepid, and it is nothing compared to some of the baths I have had in Hokkaido and Tokyo. Like most other hotels in Japan, this one allows smoking in the lobby and the corridors and lifts. This is a very large minus in my book. The bathroom is extremely small, and is more an inconvenience than a convenience. Also, the bed linen was not changed for the three days we stayed in the hotel. + The best thing going for this hotel was the restaurant - Chirahime. The food was very reasonably priced and was very Okinawan. There is a complimentary salad bar every evening and the restaurant specialty is sashimi Big Eyed Scad from the tank in the lobby at 900 Yen. Well prepared and presented. Parking is free and parking spaces plentiful. Close to Churaumi Aquarium and some other historic sites. The staff though not very conversant in English, go out of their way to accommodate requests. Especially grateful for the Bufferin that was readily available (and gratis) when it was needed for a headache.

Very pleasant stay at Hotel Belmore Toyo

We stayed at Belmore Hotel for about 1 week and it was a very pleasant stay. As you may have already read in other comments, Hotel Belmore is not a resort and it's a rather old building. This means you won't get many luxury and the rooms (in our case western-style twin bedroom) are simple with an old television, a fridge, sink and water-cooker, a bath with toilet and air-conditioning. Overall the rooms are old fashioned. That said, there is absolutly nothing to complain about the cleanliness of the rooms and hotel. Plus, the rooms are quite spacious. Furthermore the staff is very friendly and forthcoming. If you consider this hotel as a normal business hotel, you will not be disappointed. The hotel's location is close to pretty beaches, the famous Okinawa-Churaumi Aquarium, the old castle remains of Nakijin and Nago-city for shopping. You will need a car to get around though. Considering the low price you pay for one night I can absolutely recommend this hotel. The only reason why I can not give 5 stars is because there is no wifi reception in the rooms. Only in the lobby you get free wifi. The mobile phone reception is quite good though. We definitely consider staying here again.

Nice tatami rooms, clean and inexpensive

Stayed here with my American family (okinawan wife) and it was very clean, air conditioning worked fine, bathroom was large for japan. Only thing that was funny was the open shower room on the 1st floor, I have showered at YMCA openly but my 14 yr old daughter hasn't and found it uncomfortable even though with her mother and sisters only. For me I found the open window to the woods a little disturbing but was able to use the clean facilities
