Hotel is rated 1* for a reason so one needs to have appropriate expectations. Location has its pros and cons. Very close to the main station and drop off place of the airport shuttle. Unfortunately this is also very poor area of Napoli - people sleeping on the sidewalks, low cleanliness etc. Hotel reception is on the second floor, no elevator. One needs to get buzzed to enter the building. Rooms are sparsely furnished, relatively clean even though bedding should be replaced or at least thoroughly cleaned. Air conditioning in the room works well. There are shared bathrooms (2) next to the reception, so bear that in mind. Bring your own toiletries. There is also shared kitchen. Small fridge, barely one or two forks or spoons. My biggest concern however is the staff. The man working at the reception seems to not like his job at all. It’s more like he was sentenced to a forced labor. He doesn’t talk, forget any welcoming pleasantries or anything like that. He can’t care less. Smile is also unknown thing for him. Basically he doesn’t like interacting with people. If you can, don’t bother him, you will save yourself time. Otherwise if you are fine with hostel like accommodation in a little shabby area, this will be ok place for you.

Housekeeping stole money from my wallet after I accidentally left it there after checking out. Wallet retrieved 6 weeks later empty. I was in contact with the hotel within hours after realising I had left it, at first they denied finding the wallet but when booking.com got involved that amazingly found it....

I basically hated everything about our stay here. The area seems pretty rough and is filthy. The staff were hit and miss. One guy was quite helpful but the rest were a bit gruff. At check in they had to keep our passports with them over night. I think he just wasn't bothered scanning them there and then, but it set an uneasy tone which remained for the rest of the stay. Every time you leave you have to put your key at the desk which added to the unease. After one night I started looking at other hotels to move to, despite having 3 more nights paid for. I had not ready any reviews before booking so I decided to check them out and there were many saying that items were stolen from their rooms. Again this added to my unease. We played it safe and took anything of actual value out for the day with us. We ended up having to buying bug repellent as after the first night there we both woke up covered in bites. All in all, the place is in a pretty awful location, with pretty poor facilities, it doesn't feel safe or welcoming and the general cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired.
