Good location, great staff ... but needs renovation

We stay at the Comfort Inn every year during the weekend of the Bike MS charity ride and have always been satisfied with our accomodations.
This year's stay was fine again in most respects. The location is great for our purposes and the staff, as always, was friendly and helpful. But there was at least one thing that disappointed us -- the condition of our room (Room 303).
The bed squeaked loudly everytime one of us got up or laid down on it. It also had a sort of sinkhole in the middle of the mattress. The refrigerator wasn't working well enough to keep anything cold and it leaked onto the carpet. And the grout around the bathtub was either moldy or dirty.
If renovations aren't done between now and September 2022, sadly, we're going to be forced to find somewhere else to stay for next year's MS ride.
Stinky and dirty

Booked a suite. Stayed here a couple of years ago and it was nicer.
Checkin was fine but she never asked if we were Choice members so didn’t get the extra points or freebies.
There used to be a hot tub, now it’s filled in. Pool room is hot and no ac, we had to prop up the exit door for circulation.
The room stunk. Like those weird cleaners when there’s pet odors. My husband thought there was some sort of water issue and it was the carpets that stunk. There was a stain on the bathroom door that made it look like the place had flooded at some point. Based on other reviewers pics—I’m guessing it did.
If you have issues with smells, run! I’m pretty sure my coughing and drainage at night was from mold or something in that room.
There was dirt and a dead bug in bathroom. Dust and dirt in bathroom cubbies.
Sticky spot on carpet. Side light had no light bulb. The fabric thing they lay across the end of the bed had a large spot that was hardened by something that had spilled on it. It was put back on the bed when they “cleaned”.
We had 2 adults and two kids checking into a king with couch bed. The room had 5 small pillows and no bedding for the couch. We unrolled it to find dirt and crumbs on the bed and a dirty looking bed.
Fridge had a freezer that was half frozen over.
They “clean” every third day. This means fresh towels, take trash and make bed. The bugs and dirt stay.
That “full hot breakfast” is a waffle maker but no batter. Coffee, tea, frozen breakfast sandwiches, crappy quality muffins and nutragrain bars. Extremely disappointing.
Next trip to the area we’ll find a cleaner hotel that doesn’t stink.
Room was horrible

Toilet overflowed, broken elevator, they changed our room and mold in the bathroom. Outrageous, charged two credit cards. Etc. the front clerk claimed our card was declined and come to find out it was not. I have tried calling the general Manager all week, left messages. Her name is Rhonda Emerson. She will not return calls.
Don't Stay Here

My family and I just stayed here for a week, and needless to say we will not return. Check in was good, but they do advertise hot breakfast and that is not true.
Housekeeping only cleans every 3 days and it's minimal at best. My husband had to vacuum the floor because no one came in to clean until I left a tag on the door and asked for the room to be cleaned. On the 3rd night as we were watching TV a roach was crawling up the wall and I was greeted by a roach on my way to the bathroom at 2 am. The fridge was dirty and smelled. The sofa bed needs a new mattress it was stained terribly. The 5th night family came to check in and it was 4:30 and there room was not cleaned. The bed wasn't made and the TV in the room was on, they were given a room down the hall from me. The front desk were not friendly accept for the petite lady with brown hair. With Covid I expected a little more cleanliness. We checked out a day early.
Nice hotel but missed the finer points!

The hotel itself is very nice and the rooms are clean and comfortable. However, we were disappointed by a few things. There was no toilet tissue in our room. That alone was easily remedied. Even in these Covid 19 times, the breakfast offering was very poor. There were a few cereal bars and a few frozen egg muffin sandwiches. However, the coffee was fresh. Coffee was only available from 6am to 9am - no coffee, tea or water available in the lobby throughout the day as in most hotels. The staff was not friendly - indifferent might be a better description.
