FANTASTIC

If you have one place to stay in New Orleans, this is the place. Ginger the owner made us feel like family. We traveled with our granddaughter and our dog. What a fantastic place to stay. The history and hospitality are like no other. Our room was large, cool( great ac) and immaculately clean. The location can't be beat. You park your car and it's not needed till you leave. Thank you Ginger for your kindness and hospitality.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I got a message from staff saying I’d have to be let in, but I quickly understood it was for everyone’s security. Located on Ursulines St, a few short blocks from Bourbon St, and Jackson Square, the Haunted Hotel provides sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter. The good: super friendly staff, a beautiful courtyard to socialize with other guests or sit by yourself, close to amenities (café next door) and some subtle “haunted” features. Not so good: weak wifi in my room due to it’s distance from the router (it’s fine in the courtyard), door handle could have been screwed on tighter (but because of the security gate I wasn’t too worried), and the remote for the air conditioning was a little confusing but I figured it out. Room amenities included mini fridge, microwave, a beautiful shower and a very comfortable bed. It did not include a safe or iron/ironing board. ***Also, you will need to sign an agreement stating you understanding there may be noise at all hours.*** But if you tire yourself out, you’ll sleep like the dead.

I loved this hotel. It in the French quarter but on a nice quiet street. The room itself gives you an authentic New Orleans feel and the balcony was lovely. The court yard was a great place to chill, relax and get out of the sun. The staff and owners were 100% the best part about this hotel. They were so sweet and accommodating. We got there super early and the owner was nice enough to text us and allow us to drop our luggage off. She even made breakfast suggestions. They even stocked some beverages in the mini fridge. 10/10 would stay here again.

Best Hotel you'll ever stay in

This place is the most amazing hotel in NOLA. You will not get the same kind of customer service anywhere else! My S.O. and I stayed here from Dec 26-30. Not only is this hotel insanely close to anything you'd want to see in the French Quarter, but the owners are super friendly and attentive. We had two amazing homemade meals made by the owners and a regularly returning guest. The first night was a shrimp boil with all the fix'ns and the next night was grilled shrimp and jambalaya. They create an effortless sense of community among their guests that I've never seen in a hotel. They make staying in a hotel genuinely fun. Without a doubt, if we ever come back to New Orleans, we will definitely be staying here!

We decided to stay in this hotel as we had read good reviews, it was a bit pricey and alot more than we had ever paid for 1 night in a hotel room, but thought it would be worth it. When we arrived we were stood outside the gate for around 30 minutes, wondering how to get in. Luckily another couple that had left, phoned the owner for us, to come out and let us in. Our room wasn't ready so we left our bags in what I would say, a grotty little reception type room, and had a key for when we got back from our walk, when our room was ready. We came back after about 2 hours. We looked for our room but couldn't find it, there was no one about to ask. We eventually found our room located down an alley that we had passed on the way in. We had paid for a balcony Room, this room didn't even have a window. We let ourselves in, and it was tiny. There was a microwave on top of the small fridge, a small dressing table and a double bed. The tv was on the wall. The bed sheets were clean, but I don't think this room had seen a duster. The fan was thick of dust, the air vent in the ceiling was yellow and thick of dust, the smoke alarm had been pulled out of the ceiling, with wires exposed. There was no handle on the small bathroom door, the bathroom floor tiles were broken, the hot tap was cold water, and the cold tap was hot water. There were marks/stains all over the carpet. We emailed the owner, but got no reply for hours. We had no where else to stay, so we had no choice but to stay the night. We got up very early the next morning to get out of there! The owner took the full £200 , even though we didn't get what we paid for. We paid for a balcony Room, not a dorm room without a window. We have stayed in poor hotels before, but not for £200 per night!! We expected alot more for our money! The management is shocking! You can't get hold of them. We couldn't even get a partial refund!. Avoid at all costs! Don't waste your money!
