Don’t stay for a good nights sleep

For a relatively new hotel - the service is inconsistent and the bed comfort is atrocious. Be prepared for a sore back the next day - common across all its rooms. Also being allocated the disabled room without any briefing or context was quite the surprise… My third time staying at QT will be my last.

QT Newcastle is not your ordinary hotel. Staff are bright, even a little quirky, and always helpful. QT is not boring. Rooms are laid out differently, ours had a partial view of Newcastle harbour through a window which was part of the old David Jones facade which was retained when QT was built. The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was large and, as per all things QT, different but very functional. We had dinner at Jana's Restaurant & Bar, which was delicious. The menu, while not having a huge variety of dishes, has something for most people. The Wagyu Tri-Tip and the New Zealand King Salmon were delicious and well-presented. We were well-satisfied by the time we finished. Restaurant staff were attentive and helpful. Breakfast was very good as well, the QT Big Breakfast being delicious and, as advertised, big. My wife had the Croque Monsieur which was similarly satisfying. Overall our stay at QT Newcastle was enjoyable and I would recommend it to anyone.

Amazing staff! I arrived and discovered I had left my wallet on the plane. The reception and security staff were so lovely, helped me with phoning the airline and helped stopped me panicking. Beautiful food at the rooftop bar. Had the best night sleep. Felt so welcome. Amazing venue! I'll definitely be back.

Valentine's Weekend Away

We stayed for one night as a weekend away in Newcastle. The newly opened Qt was sensational! We had actually booked a different hotel for $100 less but holy hell it was worth jumping ship and travelling to the Qt. Amazing staff as you entered, priority access to their rooftop bar and such a lovely hotel room! The perfect experience. Thank you Qt!

Quirky place and staff

Although a wrong surname was entered by the agent, a quick fix was found. I would like my surname to be fixed for next time I stay. Place is quirky and staff very friendly. The rooftop(terrace) bar has a nice view and good selection of drinks. The rooms were cozy and roomy at the same time. Would stay there again when in Newcastle.
