Great time w/ private onsen

Avaliou em 26 de março de 2022

I stayed 2 nights with my wife and 7y so and we just loved it! We stayed in the Japanese style room and it was super cosy. The staff were super friendly (they even drove us to the restaurant because there were no taxis available) and the private onsen were amazing! We had a great time!

Lovely stay

We had a really nice stay here! The room is adequate for a night stay. It's pretty close to a bus stop but make sure you know the hours of the bus because after certain hours, bus only comes every hour or so. We had to walk from Toshogu shrine to the hotel because we didn't want to wait for 1 hour for the bus and it was about 25 minutes walk so doable but not fun after a long day of exploring since we were tired. The private onsen was definitely nice! As someone who's not comfortable with public onsen, my husband and I were able to enjoy the onsen together. Restaurants close early in Nikko, by 4:30pm most of the restaurants were closed already so we had to stop by at Lawson for food. The b&b had microwave, refrigerator, tea and coffee so that was a nice bonus. The owners were really nice and one of the owner even dropped us off at the train station because it was pouring rain.

Lovely b&b

We loved it here - the private onsens are gorgeous and weren’t very busy. The owner and staff speak excellent English and were really helpful and (without prompting) helped us work our travel before the impending typhoon. The breakfast was excellent - the best we’ve had so far. If you’re in the area, strongly recommend staying here. The temple and town are easily accessible - they’re not the closest but the buses come quite regularly and some you can access on foot.

Older style hotel with small bathroom but very clean and tidy, good price for an overpriced town. Family that run the hotel are lovely and very accommodating. The outdoor onsen is great, good for private family bathing. The breakfast is amazing, would stay there again for that alone, make sure you get that included.

Looks like a family-run accommodation. Owners speak enough English and they're very friendly. The whole place just feels so homey. We booked a tatami room with a private bathroom, it was clean, comfortable and spacious for two of us. There are two private onsens on the first floor, you don't have to book it. They have the "light" system which shows you if the onsens are being occupied at the moment and you are free to use it whenever it is free. Yukata is not in the room, but you can just request them at the reception should you wish to borrow it. Though kettles are not available in the room, however, you can easily make yourself a cup of tea or coffee along the corridor where everything you need will be there. There is also a fridge in that common area which you are free to store items that need to be refrigerated. The breakfast was really good and the portion is huge, with fresh fruits, bread, salad, and so on. A perfect meal to start the day in Nikko. Parking space is available.
