Hotel bom
O hotel é bem localizado de frente a praia tem duas piscinas e um bar. O serviço de recepção do hotel foi ótimo. Mas quando chegamos não tivemos uma impressão boa, a entrada do nosso quarta estava muito suja e o quarto não parecia muito limpo e pedimos para realizar a troca no dia seguinte. E ficamos em um quarto bem melhor e mais limpo.
I’m okay with it
This small place is actually decent for the money . Though some updates need to be done, it was quiet and stress free and right on the beach. The lady up front is awesome and after telling her what happened at sea mists and how nasty it was, she actually showed me the room I was going to be staying in and made sure I was comfortable with it. That shows true compassion in my book. I’ve really got nothing to complain about. See y’all soon.
Last minute family trip
Booked oceanfront unit 205 for a last minute trip. View is nice but slightly obstructed by bar rooftop. Unit was clean and all inn staff was friendly and helpful when i needed late check in, dish soap or coffee cups. Due to covid they did not enter the room during our 4 night stay but asked what we needed and hung on the door daily. The bar was nice food great and had live entertainment but was quiet by 9 PM. Towels were clean and toiletries provided. The beds were really hard in this room ( my sister in law had a different unit and hers were soft). Sheets and blankets were literally threadbare as you could seethru in spots. ( ive been bringing my own linens since covid so that didn’t affect me)The kitchenette had a new microwave but the cabinets were falling apart and the stove although all burners worked poor condition. Fridge and a/c worked well. Tv was newer flatscreen but remote had no batteries we put some in and left them, If the owners are going to continue to rent these units out they should maintain certain expected standards for guests like decent sheets. the blackout curtain needs to be replaced it is full of holes but you dont notice til the morning as the sun shines thru and very dingy. Also replace the kitchen cabinets as the chipboard is crumbling from 30 years of moisture and no amount of scrubbing could improve them, and provide cookware and dishes for # of occupancy.
Good location but could use some updating.
Stayed at Castaways for a recent family trip. When we first arrived tbe unit was very warm and there was a fan as the A/C which looks like it's 20 years old was not keeping up. The unit smelled like strong febreeze and was musty. There are no comforters on the beds, just a blanket and an extra top sheet. After running the a/c full open for the rest of the day, the unit was finally a comfortable temperature but never got really cool. The lamp shades have rust on them and the curtains have holes. However, the place is clean just old and in need of some upgrades. The pool and the little ocean front bar is nice and everyone who works is nice and helpful. The price was good for a beach front property with a pool and bar. If you're looking for fancy, this is not it. But it's a good place for a quick family trip on a budget. But really, buy some lamps.
Great Time in North Myrtle
The staff are super friendly and nice. The location is great, right on the water and nearby to mini golf courses and restaurants. Overall, My friends and I had a great time while we were staying at the Castaway Beach Inn.
