Rooms are comfortable and have everything you need, good selection on drinks tray. . Only negative was the charging point next too the bed had a sign on it only mobile phones and when I tried it, it did not work at all so I had to charge my phone and laptop the other side of the room and could not lie on the bed and work. . Food - Breakfasts are really good and so much choice, however good in the evening I found expensive and some items not great. Squid was really good, but when I had the chicken 🌮 the chicken was overcooked and so dry I could not chew it. . Receipts if u are working away I would advice giving ur card details too reception on arrival and adding food to your room as receipts are now paperless and they email them to you, out of the 3 receipts I only received 1 and that was for a drink I can't claim back, the two foods ones I did not receive and was told I could get a copy at reception and can't, so can't claim that back from my company. . Hotel grounds and facilities are great, plenty of places to chill in the sun ☀️

Popped in for gym time an had a drink and Bite to eat. Staff very friendly especially blonde girl called Charlie. Made me feel very welcome as I was alone eating my tasty Sri lankan curry. Would totally recommend. And thankyou Charlie for being so kind and courteous:)

Disappointing

The reception and bar staff are great and helpful. My room was tatty and well worn and only serviced once during my 4 night stay. Watch out for the added 10% gratuity added to everything you get in the bar or restaurant, oddly if you use the app there's no way to remove it. And do the staff really get this or are we paying wages. I prefer to give servers the cash and dont trust companies to do the right thing. Breakfast was ok.

Needs updating and soundproofing

I have just stayed here for one night on business. The hotel itself is easy to find and in a great location. Plenty of parking and felt very safe. You register your vehicle at the reception which is made very clear. The check-in process was very easy. The hotel is spread over quite a large area so there was quite a walk to the room. The room I had was very very small but perfectly sufficient. The one thing that was immediately clear was the fact that you could hear everything that everybody was doing in every single room. The person below me was on the phone and I could hear every single word of conversation and when the person next door switched on the TV, I could’ve turned my volume down because I could hear every word. The restaurant was very nice with a good choice of menu and the food tasted great. The staff were very nice. I have only giving it three stars because of the soundproofing. That and because the hotel is very dated. For some reason, in the middle of June they had the radiators on in the communal areas which meant the whole place is roasting.

Inefficient

The staff were friendly and superficially friendly, but totally inefficient and communication was appalling. I was in an executive room, the first problem was the TV had no signal, which was fixed by the staff replacing a loose cable in the back. I couldn't work the coffee machine, although I had more idea than the staff I asked. I gave up using it as you got a tiny amount of coffee instead of the full cup selected. We had a group dinner in the evening, we couldn't get everyone on the long table provided and they passed round two electronic screens for selection, for over 20 people. This took ages for starters, they then passed them round again for mains. Someone asked for a paper copy and a whole pike came through but all but 2 were kept under the staff's arm. We sat down at 630 and my desert arrived at 10! The food I had was really good and the staff did the best the could, but it was ridiculous (we had been expecting a carvery.) The next morning my husband had difficulty with our key, I went out for the morning and when I got back, my key didn't work either, I asked the cleaner to let me in, but she told me she couldn't get in either! I met my husband who told me, he had alerted reception at 10, it was now 12. We went back to reception and they found a master actual key, but the member of staff couldn't work it. We went out for another hour, but we still get in and alerted reception again. My husband went to his meeting and I remained in reception to be let in. At 230, I asked for free coffee as I couldn't get into my room (there had been no communication from the staff, except when we went to reception to ask if we could get in, which we did regularly). I got my free coffee but at 4.00 I lost my temper. I had planned to go to the spa and get ready for a meal that evening, but instead I was stuck in reception with just my phone. I had asked if they had a book or newspaper, but they didn't, although a very kind guest lent me one. At 4pm having waited 6.5 hours to get in, I raised my voice, and the response was, she didn't know (she had served me the free coffee), she then left crying. Another member of staff took over and practically told me off for upsetting the other member of staff. And said I would get a refund.(I wasn't rude), she found the actual key and let me in, we could have been let in much earlier, they just hadn't told us!!! The maintenance man replaced the lock, but it could not be reprogrammed so when we left the room, we had to be escorted back to our room each time. V. Embarrassing and inconvenient. We were intially denied a refund but after pointing out the problems we got it The room was also badly decorated and dirty in places. In the public rooms they were low hanging lampshades and display boxes, which I hit my head on and one party actually broke one with his head! When I mentioned this to the manager, he said he had hit his head many times!! It's 2 stars not one as the food was good and the staff were mostly helpful, but so inefficient. It was lovely to see rabbits outside my bedroom window though.
