Excelente surpresa no coração de Manhattan
EXCELENTE! O hotel foi uma grata surpresa no coração de Manhattan. Bem próximo ao Times Square, à Broadway, Rockefeller Center e MOMA. Tudo a fazer caminhando. E subway a apenas 1 quadra. Além da ótima localização, as suítes do 18º são muito confortáveis, com bela vista e amenidades que fazem diferença em uma viagem. Tudo perfeito! O café da manhã segue os padrões nova-iorquinos: suco, fruta, pães e café. Simples, mas um diferencial numa cidade onde os hotéis não têm o hábito de oferecer o dejejum na diária. O atendimento é cortês (nos moldes nova-iorquinos, of course!) e a possibilidade de late check out a módicos US$100 colabora com os hóspedes que precisam estar no aeroporto apenas à noite. Foi o nosso caso. RECOMENDO!
Perfect location just a minutes walk from the heart of Times Square and only 10 mins to Rockefeller and not far to Central Park one way and the Empire State the other. Lovely big comfy bed & large clean room with handy remote controlled blinds (including a black out blind) Great rainfall shower Nice to have a grab n go breakfast included in our price - only comment would be would have been nice to have more choice. You could have 1 drink and a piece of fruit and a choice of danish/doughnut/muffin etc. Would have been good to be able to swap for the cereal for example. Special lift to the Executive rooms. From what we overheard it’s not a good idea to book the normal rooms. We were really happy with our stay, it was great value and would come again. If you want a bar & restaurant in your hotel it’s not for you. We didn’t, there’s so much to do in New York we only wanted to sleep there. For the value, cleanliness & location its definitely 5 stars.
Great location but you need to to stay in executive Class floor to enjoy!
We stayed in the executive Class rooms on 18th floor which was nice and modern, however we heard a lot of complaints about the rest of the hotel been poor, we witnessed people complaining at the front desk. We stayed in room 1818, very noisy with lifts going up and down all night, however the room was nice and fresh and great shower. Breakfast is a coupon for a coffee or orange juice and a piece of fruit and a muffin or crossint. Great location but hotel could be much better.
Only 1 elevator goes to 18th floor (which you have to figure out yourself how to call!). The room was very dirty - sheets didn't fit, mattress had stains on it, the staff never replaced anything during our two night stay and we had 4 adults in double queen room. Very uncomfortable - the only thing good was the location!
By far from “executive”
Bit of an average stay. We stayed on the 18th floor (executive) and it was by far from executive. First off, there was no refrigerator which stated in our booking there would be. Hotel staff said one could be brought up which was fine by us. We were then told that they didn’t allow fridges on the 18th floor? However we were entitled to one as per our booking? To our dismay, we were then charged $25 for the mini fridge??????? After our booking said this was an inclusion with our room. Also there were no bath robes. Not an issue really but also meant to be included in our booking. When I asked about this they told me that they were “out of bath robes”. I don’t want to sound entitled but if I am paying for this, I’d expect “executive class” service with full amenities. Lastly, the room REEKED of cigarette smoke. We’re not sure whether this was coming from the bathroom pipes however we could also smell whatever the people on the room in the floor below us were having for dinner. Not very pleasant when you’re in a stuffy room with no sufficient lighting. I would have loved to write a more positive review but for what we paid, the stay was not worth it.
