Great hotel, worth it

Very good and new property, wonderful people at service, breakfast was decent and 24 hours coffee was available along with hot & cold water dispensers. Location was not walkable to anything nearby, but in a town like oakhurst i think nothing was walkable, you need to have a vehicle so that was not an issue for me. Overall great

Spent a night at Oakhurst while visiting Yosemite. Hotel was empty like a ghost town (not more than 5 occupants for the night). Likely because it is a weekday and winter seeing low occupancy. Because of low visitation, breakfast was arranged at Fairfield in the next building. All in all, clean and well kept for holiday inn standards, although water pressure in bathroom controlled at too low levels.

New hotel so as expected no great issues. I didn’t rate as 5 stars due to no jacuzzi (unusual for a hotel with a pool), pool too cold to use whereas it could have been warmer for all the families that stay here to use. Also strongly object to charging for parking. As other reviewers have stated - huge parking lot, no shortage of parks, small town - just greed. Also as other reviewers have stated, front desk staff appeared to be students. The ‘uniform’ of a plaid lumberjack type jacket looks scruffy and unprofessional. Holiday Inn polo shirt would look much better. Room lovely and spacious (paid $7 extra for extra large room), comfortable beds, liked the Dove toiletries. Shower grab bar broken (see photo) and unsure what the low to the ground tap/fawcet did!? Also, one of our beds had no top sheet which we didn’t realise until getting into bed. How do housekeeping miss that?

New hotel fresh and clean. A bit of luck after our hotel at fish camp cancelled our reservation 3 weeks out. Nice staff but not very knowledgable about Yosemite. Well placed for Giant Sequoia grove also Valley View

This is a relatively new property, one of three competing brands next to each other....and from the outside, all apparently built identically. The property is what one expects from Holiday Inn Express and is comfortable, very clean and nicely furnished. I would stay at this location again. However, my review is lowered due to a business practice of charging $10 for parking...in Oakhurst, CA? There is plenty of parking around the property. This APPEARS to be a way to garner additional revenue from unsuspecting overseas visitors to Yosemite National Park. Enough said...
