Best value for money of the region... Great wifi now

Hotels are not cheap in the region. The "cheap ones" are still around 100 CHF / night and their standard of room is quickly very bad. My wife, my son and I experienced this motel for 2 nights for the price of 120 CHF / night + 10 CHF / night for the extra bed for our 6 yrs old child. For this price, you have a great room honestly (even though I'm not a fan of these bathrooms with glass doors): it's exactly like in the professional pictures: modern, very clean, very safe and spacious enough, even with a third bed. As said in other reviews, there is a big balcony with a great open view. I read in other reviews that the wifi was an issue: the staff obviously took this problem in consideration, because the wifi is on point (I tested the speed: around 10 Mbps, at any time => no problem). In exchange of this great value for the price: you pay the fact that the motel is 30 min. away from Saint-Gall by car... Not such a problem. As said in other reviews, the automatic check in system is very easy to use. I didn't experience the breakfast because we came during the weekend and during the weekend, there is a free snack instead of a paid breakfast (which is available from Mon. to Fri.). I took a picture of the snack (see in attachement): coffee, bretzel, fruit, etc. It's enough to feed you... For the cars: free parking outside: you just choose the place you want when you arrive in the hotel. Reviews reported the noise of the cars outside as it's in front of a road, it's not too annoying (it's like the constant noise of a river), it's not annoying at all if you close the window. About St-Gallen: a nice town... Visit also Rorschach, the town just under which stands on the lake (experience the best thai restaurant over there: The Angehrn, look for its reviews in tripadvisor). Have a great stay :)

The Rooms are very clean and confortable. Enough space for eventi big lunggare. The shower is enourmous. I will really raccomend it. Only some small problem with the WiFi but we have been promised that they will be solved soon. The breakfast was generous and pleanty. Next time i go there Again. The price is not cheap but in line with local economy.

I stayed 3 nights at this motel and I can say that we are happy for different reasons. The hall and the rooms are spacious, even the kitchen is big. The furniture is new and clean and motel style is modern. The location little bit fare from appenzell downtown 10 mins. driving but still it located in calm place. The staff was helpful so I recommend this motel for these reasons.

Stayed here on the way to the Austrian Alps. Very close to the motorway, easy to find. Good parking and 24 access via a key pad that opens a locker containing your room key. Rooms are spacious, clean and modern. Loved the double walk in shower and free wifi. We even had a balcony. Don't forget your Swiss adapters if you need to charge anything, our standard European ones wouldn't fit the sockets

Arrived late at night the booking code did not unlock the key for our rooms, no one on site, so made expensive call to a mobile number given for assistance. Assistance was good and we got to our rooms, which are basic (no carpet) but spotless. No food available in the vending machine, just coke, condoms and toothpaste!! Shower and toilet are of a 'wet room'style so dont share a room with someone you are not comfortable with Breakfast was basic and coffee via a vending machine (Free at this time of day) The vending machine duly failed!!!. Area for breakfast seats 6 so you might have to wait at busy times. OK for a night but not a place to spend a week Fair value for money
