Outstanding Service
We did not actually stay at the hotel, we booked it for 4 nights, but when arrived it was not suitable for a wheelchair user. But we feel we had to let people know how understanding and helpful the man on reception was. He telephoned Booking.com and explained our situation, whilst offering my wife and I and hot drink. We cannot thank him enough for his help, hence the 5 star rating, he is a credit to the hotel.
Excellent concierge
A hotel with very competent reception staff. I had left a sarong at a previous hotel and I must say the supreme effort by the concierge to retrieve it for my imminent cruise was magnificent- thank you so much! The hotel is itself within walking distance of nice cafes/restaurants and the Information Office for Olbia down on the portside. There is also an archeological site opened from 5-8 pm accessed from the Church car park a couple of streets away.
Clean, central, friendly
A dated hotel but one that is central, easy to find on a quiet street, with competent English-speaking concierges. I was in Room 409 on 27 August 2018, and it was large, clean and acceptable. The best rooms look over the interior of the back of the road. I was able to get my room by 11 am, and they invited me to a complementary coffee, too. A friendly welcome in a new city. No frills, not really cheap, but fair value. I recommend it.
3/5
Great location. Handy to everything. Great local restaurants. Shower will flood your bathroom. Don’t stay in the rooms that back on to very noisey alleyway. Good breakfast. Front desk staff not the friendliest, could do so much more.
Hidden gem
The management of this hotel cant do enough for you, from start to end, rooms are very spacious and spotlessly clean, bedding and towls changed daily, the reason we booked this hotel was because of its central location you have to be very careful with a lot of the hotels here as they seem very out of the way from any amenities shops bars restaurants are within walking distance, although we did find it quite expensive to drink and eat out, the maria itself although quite pretty wasn't really up too much, and you do have to get a bus to the nearest beaches the no 4 bus takes you too the beaches of pitulingu and mama beach, the beaches have to be the selling point for this island and we found them very similar to those in the caribean, we stayed in the hilton olbia for first few days but found this hotel much better for location, the only cons we would say was the ghetto area around the hotel which is iinhabited by alot of immigrant sellers and shops african and indians you are hounded by them on the beach and they do take up space on the bus to this beach which we thought shouldnt be allowed, taxis are very few here as we notced and its much cheaper to take the bus 1 euro 50 ts 15 euros set rate in a cab and it was 20 euros from the airport to the hotel, we enjoyed it in bar glamour, marys bar, and la tasca for food but there are lots of places to explore, all rooms are air con which you need in the temperatures here travel in june was extremely hot 34c
