Not nice experience

Avaliou em 4 de janeiro de 2022

It was a disappointment. It started well, we were picked up at the airport, there was already a man, Charles waiting for us so it was nice. On hotels.com where I booked a room, it said that it takes 12 minutes (about 10km) from the airport to the hotel. Unfortunately it was on 31/12 so it took about 1.5 hours before we arrived. But even without this traffic, it would not take only 12 min. When we arrived, then it all started. I asked where is the bungalow I booked. It turned out that it was farthest away, although I have written to the hotel at the time of booking that my friend is disabled and can not walk at all and asked for a room near the entrance. It took a very long time before my friend could be taken to the room. Partner to owner was mad at me that I complained, he should not be spec. when I rightly complained. He even accused me of being rude, though it was he who was the one, not me. When I got to the room, there were only 2 beds and some small sofa. I went to look at the bathroom, it was not very fresh, however clean it was. Wanted to wash hands, but the water just dripped. I had to go the long way back and ask to see why the water does not flow. Half owner through claimed that there is nothing wrong with that, that I am in Africa so I can not ask for much either. And for that I pay so little for the room either. I paid almost 400 SEK so for Gambia it is not so little money for one double room. I told him I know West Africa very well so I did not agree, have been several times just in Gambia also and never happened me such. But Charles came and arranged so that water began to flow nicely. That with the water happened again when I was going to go and shower. I had to stop and go to look for some help again. Charles was the one who helped and since then water has worked all the time. Charles in general was very good, friendly, helpful, nice and it was thanks to him that our stay was reasonably good. But I do not recommend this resort as they call it, it is not located in a nice nice area although the garden itself was nice.
