Very pretty hotel
Spotlessly clean.hotel manager very helpful directing us to parking.room was lovely! Right in centre of olite with its beautuful castle. Breakfast was delicious.just be careful at night to find somewhere to eat.we struggled to find a restaurant open.the one at hotel was full.
A little gem in an enchanted location
Since the moment of your arrival, you'll feel immersed in a fantasy world. This Hotel is not only gorgeous but filled with the needed amenities and services to make your stay an amazing experience. The owners run the place and they're absolutely kind and helpful. The room is not huge but it has everything you need plus a charm of its own. The Hotel also counts with a wonderful terrace at the top that you can access to through the stairs with reclining chairs on one side and outside sofas and a coffee table in case you wanna take something from the minibar there with you or simply buy something in the vicinities of the hotel and go up there to enjoy the sunset, the view, etc. Then if you happen to change your mind like we did and do not pre-book the breakfast with the room you can always tell them and have it there anyway for a very accessible price and it's well worthy, they served some delicious local cheeses, coffee and/or tea, toasts with jam & butter, an excellent bread, croissants, scrambled eggs and even a glass of wine if you feel like it! The hotel also has its own restaurant but you have to book it if you think of having lunch or dinner because it's not very large and you may not have room otherwise. and last but not least they have a little shop where you can buy all sort of local wines.
Agree with others-- bad beds
I dislike this hotel. I have been to Spain 9 times, and this is my all-time least favorite hotel. The beds are uncomfortable, the shower runs slow, the towels are soft and fresh, and everything is small and outdated. But the worst part was the fee that we were charged for a baby bed. I've never been charged a fee to have the baby in the room with us, but we were charged 18 Euros a night at this hotel. I should have stayed at the Parador instead. Skip this one!
Beds are awful - absolutely rock hard
Location-wise the hotel is great. Just inside the city walls and next to the Parador so a few minutes walk to anywhere in the city. The rooms are slightly old fashioned, but are in keeping with the style of the building. However... and it is a big however... the beds are awful. The mattress was absolutely rock hard with no give whatsoever and as a result we got virtually no sleep (and a bad back for the following day). So whatever the charms of the hotel I would avoid it and pick somewhere you can actually use the bed to sleep. The free parking mentioned on the website is simply the public parking that is just outside the city walls with first come first served with all the other tourists visiting the town. Finally I was very unimpressed when I came to leave and the receptionist told me I needed to pay for the room when it had already been paid through a booking site. Even the production of the booking confirmation saying "PAID" did not change her mind until I insisted she called her boss, when there was a sudden change of mind.
Good hotel in an interesting town
Very helpful host, despite the language problem. The hotel is on the first floor and above with the restaurant on the ground floor, fantastic terrace on top of the building. Would recommend booking if you want dinner as the restaurant is quite small and we had to be "fitted in" as most of the tables had been booked, but maybe that was because it was a Sunday. Interesting menu with 3 starters, all of which arrived one after the other (would have prefered just one starter!) followed by our choice of main and pudding. Very interesting town with lots of historic and interesting buildings. Parking is in the public car parks as you can't drive within the centre of the town, we parked in the nearest car park but there are quite a few steps up to the town and then more steps up the reception, it was fine for us but could be a problem for some people
