A Little Piece Of Heaven
Avaliou em 19 de Outubro de 2019
After a weekend at this stunning retreat we are totally reenergised! It was clean, so comfortable, fully functional, private and the hosts Chris and Cherie were just brilliant. Our lodge over looked a beautiful little lake and we saw heaps of different birds. The facilities were impeccable, we especially enjoyed the spa and the gymn. Everything about the place was quality, and our stay was too. The only downside was that 2 nights wasn’t long enough! We will most definitely be back.
Your Piece of Paradise in Northland

Picture this: You badly needed a place to re-charge your batteries and have a break from the daily grind of city life, work, and living. This is the place to be! The owners, Chris and Cherie Frost will go out of their way to let you get the most out of your visit to the Kai Iwi Lakes and nearby areas. Don’t forget to ask them about the Kiwi and Kauri forest experience and even a drive to the coastal beach. The facilities are clean, comfortable, private, and so close to nature that you get woken up by the sound of NZ native birds.

We have been touring round NZ for 8 days now and this was a fabulous, relaxing, quiet, but action packed place if you wanted. Our host Cherie was exceptionally friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We were offered bikes, kayaks, theatre room, hot spa, swimming as well as a continental breakfast! Our well equipped lodge was picturesque overlooking the lake. We could not have asked for more. Well worth the trip off the beaten track to stay here.

Friendly host. It might be an idea to use insect repellent if you are allergic, as in October there were a lot of things flying around. The location is remote. It's 15 mins drive from the nearest pub, so it's a good idea to take your own dinner and breakfast. Picturesque location. Good for relaxing. There are a lot of DVDs to borrow to watch in your room and also a shared hot tub and gym if you like that sort of thing. The room was massive.
what to do in a storm

when you book a much needed short break away with friends you haven't seen in a few years, what you dont really want is a storm. At the Wai Hou Oma lodge though it didn't seem to be a problem. our host Cherie and Chris Frost went out of there way to make us and the other guests feel welcome and well looked after even if mother nature had decided that she wasn't playing ball. We were fed and watered brilliantly and there were board games and books a plenty to keep us entertained whilst we waited for a break in the weather but all the while i got the impression that nothing was to much trouble for the owners of this lodge. i can honestly say that i will go back for another stay if only to take up the offer of a bit of water skiing on the lake which even in the storm was pristine in its clearness
