We came to Onomichi to bike the kim anami trail. This hotel will arrange for luggage transfer to your biking destination for a fee. Fee is based on luggage size but was ¥1200 per each of our small luggage pieces. We enjoyed our traditional room with futons. Also enjoyed breakfast here.

We highly recommend this hotel if you are going to visit Onomichi city in Hiroshima. The location was a little bit far from the station, but they gave a service to pick up and drop off. The staff were nice and very polite. The building seemed old but it was kept clean inside. If you don’t know what you want to eat for dinner, we also recommend the restaurant in the hotel which served the local food. 尾道に来たら、またこのホテルを利用したいです。建物は少し古いですが、中はとてもきれいです。駅からは遠いですが、送迎バスを利用できます。また、夜ご飯に駅の方へ行くか迷ったのですが、併設されている一階の和食レストランに行きましたが、とても良かったです。

Good hotel, superb service, shuttle service

Our main goal in Onomichi was to cycle over the islands. Therefore we planned a night there without any expectations. We found Kokusai Hotel and it was a very good choice. We could get a good nights sleep, the staff was very friendly and helped us with making our cycle plans. They offer a shuttle service from and to Onomichi station, which we appreciated.

We booked a double for two people. The room was small but clean with modern decor. The staff was the best part of our stay. They were very helpful and allowed us to drop off our belongings and check in quickly so we could make it to the ropeway before it closed at 5:30pm. The price was a little expensive, however, the hotel was less than 1km from Onomichi train station. There is nothing near the hotel, but there is a convenience store and supermarket between the station and the hotel. The hotel is undergoing renovation now. There was no noise at night, but there was some noise the next morning from room renovations happening on our floor. The shower had some small mold stains. However, everything else in our room was spotless. If I return to Onomichi, I would probably try to find a hotel or ryokan in an area closer to the main shopping street, closer to the action. However, on short notice the hotel was very nice and met our expectations. We received a coupon for dinner, however we did not eat at the hotel.

Small but clean

This hotel has very small room but I guess it is typical in a Japanese hotel. Practical and clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Small working desk. Internet is fast. Hot water bath was powerful.
