Beware ! Heads up if you rent 502C

The unit (502C) was by far the worst we have rented at Caribe! Check the mattresses before bedtime. Both king size mattresses had filthy urine spots throughout. Despite contacting VR Club over a dozen times about numerous issues: no light over stove (used our flashlights to see the dials), dripping sink, filthy sofa chairs, sofa pillows that were dirty and smelled like dirty hair, bar cushions you won't want to sit on, moulding falling off the shower door, a few chipped cups and 3 good ones to name a few. They did give us 2 thin oven pads however and several spoons. There were 3 when we came for a unit that advertises that it acommodates 12. There were dust balls under the sofa that could have developed legs. The sofa was actually quite nice however. The owners might see what spending a couple of nights bhere would reveal to them if they even cared. Check it out carefully if you rent and let VR Club know the problems immediately. By the time you leave you might get a light over the stove.

The resort itself is nice. The pool areas are in need of renovation but they are working on them. The lazy river is being completely redone. Our condo (c1205) was quite spacious with a lovely view of the bay. Unfortunately the furnishings are old, broken, stained and filthy. There are two chairs in the living area that are so bad we had to use the seat cushions from both chairs on one chair in order to be comfortable. The couch was not used at all because of the condition it was in so we needed to pull chairs out of the bedrooms to use. The whirlpool tub is out of commission with a sign stating it was leaking as of Sept of 2022. The built in microwave is out of commission and no longer has the front door on it. There is a small 700 watt microwave on the counter. The floor under the master bed is white with dust and the toilet paper holder is coming off the wall. The built in stove top has a corner broken off. The dining tables on the deck have a plywood top. The bath towels in the master bath we’re actually frayed. We really like the resort and the people but definitely would not return to this room.

needs major renovations

Our condo unit was really nice, thanks to the private owner, but the Caribe resort itself is in no shape to host guests until major renovations are completed. pools and spas are empty or blocked off with caution tape, common area bathrooms are extremely gross- wall plaster full of mildew and rotting away, floor tiles coming up, baseboards ruined, etc. There were 2 spas that were open outdoors, and the water was extremely off balance and filmy. If you are coming just to stay in the condo, it will prob be ok depending on the owner (ours was great) , but don't come for the family activities like swimming, spa, etc.

Worst vacation ever!!

This was the absolute worst vacation ever! Three weeks and $8500 worth. If you like screaming, screeching, shrieking, uncontrollable kids from 7:00 in the morning until 11:00 at night, then this is the place for you. We had a 10th floor unit which happened to be above the pool and water slide - my bad being anywhere near a pool in this place. When did it become permissable to let your kids run unattended and scream their lungs out and think that's cute? We complained to security about the kids constant screaming and guard Justin just laughed and said "They're just kids" and walked away and another time I called and he hung up on me! Rude!! I also spoke to the building manager, Stan, and he basically said the same thing and that they are a victim of their success as they promote family atmosphere. Obviously, with all the 3 foot deep pools. I even showed him pictures of kids climbing the walls of the water slide and jumping into a 3 foot deep pool. Not his concern. There is no peace and quiet in this place and the only way we could read was to be inside in a back bedroom with all the doors closed. The balcony was unusable for the entire 3 weeks. I am sorry I had to give this place one star but no stars was not an option. A problem they don't care to enforce is the children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. We would witness kids coming from the two other buildings down to swim in this pool because "they had a more fun water slide". Again not enforcing their own rules. Their lazy river is also a joke. Kids and families use it as a kiddie pool for kids to play in, forget the tube, we'll just run in the water. We will never use or recommend this place again!

Beautiful Resort

Beautiful condos. The views from the patio are wonderful. We sat and watched the pirate boats, the Tiki boats and lots of pontoons cruising the bay side. Very clean. The pools are spectacular. The employees are super nice and the grounds are immaculate. Will definitely go back there. I hated to leave.
