Viagem nota 10, hotel de ótima qualidade, pé na areia e com ótimas opções de bebidas e comidas. Infelizmente não chegamos a conhecer os restaurantes do hotel, pois nem precisou rs. Ótimo serviço de quarto e localização

Not a 4 star hotel at all, maybe a 2.5….

Avaliou em 26 de junho de 2022

Room was dark, could not open any windows, there was mold on the walls and cracks. Reception said they would look into it, nothing happened. There was a note in the room saying that we should keep AC on to avoid condense and keep the room cool. They knew they had issues with that room and took no additional measurements. Very unhealthy air in the room with only AC and a fan. Furniture is old. Definitely not a 4 star hotel, as they claim. No reception services after 8 pm, no security guard in the area of the hotel either, bar closing at 6pm at Divi Dutch. Not recommending this hotel.

A Family Stay at Dutch Village

Avaliou em 20 de junho de 2022

The Good: Overall, we had a good stay at the Dutch Village with our 2 little children (4 years old and almost 2). The staff are so friendly. I can’t say enough about how wonderful people were, especially the cleaning crew who were very mindful of not to intrude on the kids room during nap. The room was clean and everything in its place. There were little imperfections here and there, but nothing that was a big deal. The pools were very nice. Our favorite pool was actually the infinity pool over at the Golf resort, but the pools at the Dutch Village were also very nice. Having access to all the resorts was great. It really gives you a variety feel. I know not everyone loves the shuttles, but our kids thought they were great and liked all the drivers too. They came to the building during the non peak times which made it very easy to get around with the kids (see my tips section for peak times). Mulligans and the Tiki Grill - I wanted to specifically shout out both of these places . While we weren’t super happy with the AI experience, it wasn’t for a lack of great service from both spots. The food was good and the service was excellent. Ling & Sons (the supermarket) - is not far. It took us a little over 10 minutes to get there. The Not So Good: 1 quirkiness with the room: The ceiling fan/light kept turning on in the middle of the night A couple of times during our stay. It was very strange and we still couldn’t explain why, though my husband thinks that maybe our neighbor’s were using the remote on theirs and it picked up in our rooms. The beach: like other reviews, the beach is quite rocky. There’s not much to do about that but wear shoes and be careful. There was also so many ants in the sand. They would crawl all over the kids and all of our stuff. I tried moving the sand around to deter them, but they kept on coming. Not a deal breaker, but just something for people to be aware of. The all-inclusive: We were disappointed in the all inclusive. We spent a lot of money on it and could not find anyone to take our reservations. First, the nice young woman who helped us to purchase the all-inclusive told us to call concierge early to make reservations since no one was there when we checked in or when we purchased the AI bracelets the next day. That would have been fine except no one picked up that phone everyday when I called until our 4th day and every time we went by concierge no one was there. We finally got someone on the phone and they said they didn’t take reservations by phone. My husband walked over that afternoon to the Dutch Village Concierge, he happily found someone, try and make reservations and they told him that they don’t make reservations there and we’d have to try the Tamajrin to get the reservation. No one picked up when we asked the operator to transfer us to the Tamarjin and the one time we went by there wasn’t a concierge there either (to be fair, we didn’t stick around that time). While we did enjoy Mulligans, Tiki, and Cunucu enough, and all the little food spots/grills, we really do feel like we didn’t get our money’s worth. We probably could have been more forceful or been more demanding about someone helping us, but with 2 little kids we didn’t want to fuss or stress out. I hope anyone who may read this from Dutch Village figured out a way to make this easier on those staying here or maybe opt into an online reservation system. Tips for families with little kids: -The infinity pool area at the golf resort really is the most family friendly as it has both a kiddie pool (2ft deep with 2 little fountains) off to the side and a huge slide the big pool. There’s even a net at one side of the pool for people to play water sports. It is also an area where people are going to have fun. The pools by the Dutch Village are nice, but generally quiet. While we did our best to keeps our kids quiet in those pool areas, they’re little kids. Sometimes they want to laugh and be boisterous. Hop on a shuttle and go over there when your kids need to blow off some steam and have fun. -During the day, you can almost always call for a shuttle to stop by your building and pick you up. Once you hit 5pm your no one is going to help with that as it gets busy with people going to dinner and then the crowd going to the casino. Head to the front desk and one will stop by there. They’ll also drop you off at your building too. -If you stay in a duplex with a toddler, beware the stairs. We created our own “baby gate” out of the dining room chairs. We took 2 and turned them upside down which made them tight enough on the staircase that our little adventurer couldn’t go up. -There is no drying line in the room or bathroom. You should definitely bring a travel one so you can hang your stuff on your balcony or in your bathroom so the wet bathing suits and stuff. -the walk to Ling & Sons doesn’t have a lot of shady spots, so you get a lot of direct sun exposure. Wear your sunscreen and maybe bring an umbrella or something if you are sensitive to that much son. Also, bring a bag if you don’t want to purchase one there as they don’t have plastic (though the bag you purchase there is strong, large, and made a great bag to move around towels and kid stuff).

No way to contact the resort!

Avaliou em 19 de junho de 2022

We have upcoming reservations booked through Agoda and I have been trying to call and confirm the 2 rooms directly with the hotel. If you call the 1-800 number for Divi, you directly get placed into a line with music for several hours and then told to 'leave a message' which never gets answered. Then I tried email, I initially received a reply saying our reservations couldn't be found, and I emailed 3-4 times after that and received NO RESPONSE. As I'm traveling with my 92 year old father, I have to be able to reach someone at the resort and cannot afford suprises! I would like their complaint department number please.

How to ruin your Anniversary at the Divi Dutch

Avaliou em 15 de junho de 2022

We did not get the room we reserved and paid for on the beach side of the resort. Instead we were put in a larger, run down room on the golf side. If we went there for golf then fine that would be exceptable but, we were there for a romantic beach anniversary get away. There were several problems with the room. The plumbing in one of the tiolets was faulty, the bathrooms were in need of renovation, and the stove in the kitchennette did not work well. The bed was very uncomfortable; you could feel the springs in the matress, which made getting a good night's sleep virtually impossible. With no explanation on why our beach side room is not available, and after waiting in a two couples line for over 50 minutes and no backup room reserved at another location we decided to give the resort a try. 2nd worst decision of my life (marrying my ex-wife was the worst). Besides for the bugs in Muligans's (one of the resorts resturants) the meat for my beef fajita tasted like a cardboard box, and it took close to 1 hour for us to get our food. I'm still amazed how the same resort can list the same food for breakfast at two different locations, but the same printed menu sold two different types of waffles and list them both as belguim waffles. This time the explanation given was "the chef is different". Which is bs because the fake Belgium waffles were thin and looked they were from a box of frozen waffles. Overall, this resort left a lot to be desired and I would not reccomend this place to anyone I care about. The only redeamable thing about this resort is the fact that the beach it is on is quite beautiful......but you can go to any other resort on the island and get that so.....
