Excellent base for visiting hill tribes or adventure treks

We were on a tour which included visiting the hill tribes and stayed at the resort which is a short drive from Oudoomxay/Muang Xai. Apparently the hotel usually used as a base (Muang La Resort) had been partially washed away by the monsoon rains. The hotel was excellent situated in a blissfully peaceful area next and with a local village community adjacent . The rooms were very special , large and included your own spa bath. Restaurant food was very good with both local and western menus. Ideal for hill tribes with about 30-40 min drive to Muang La where picked up the 4 wheel drive to explore the hill tops. The resort also offers a wide array of treks and adventures which we did not try but looked very tempting. And the pool is an excellent place to chill out after a busy day.

Great team, great atmosphere and outstanding view from the room. Thanks Dao for taking care so well of us at restaurant and great work from front office for dealing with all our request. We will definitely be back soon

We had an amazing stay with the family. Room are perfectly sized with an incredible view on this primary forest. What a perfect spot to relax and revive We did the waterfall trek and the Journey was worth every penny We will be back soon for sure

Mostly young uneducated, inexperience but friendly staff. Since they know little english that can cause problems. The administration like reception, maintenance could improve a lot! They told us that it was 24/7 reception but they didnt response to late night calls (understaffed?). Even if it is built 2016 it sometime seems outdated with strange solutions. We stayed in a Deluxe Bungalow which was spacy but three lamps didnt work, no TV-remote and terass felt forgotten in cleaning. DInner was average. Pool nice but crowded. Lobby shop never had anyone serving, probably we could have ask reception.

What an amazing experience!! The staff and hotel manager was so accommodating and friendly. The trekking and Zip-lining was such a great adventure and the guide who that took us was just so passionate and enthusiastic that will leave us everlasting memories.
