Wonderful location, but very underwhelming property.

We were excited to stay right on the square for a recent visit to Ole Miss. While unpacking w discovered there were no hangers. When hangers were delivered to our room we were given plastic hangers. No wooden trouser hangers that are standard at most hotels, especially of the Chancellor House caliber. Also missing was an iron and ironing board. The next morning when I went down for coffee at 9:00 am there was none left and when I let the woman at the front desk know. She seemed annoyed she had to go and refresh the pot. I wasn't asking at 4:00pm. Just the simple things that the "marquee" hotel on the square should be on top of are lacking. I will say the student interns from Ole Miss were very friendly, but seemed in over their heads. Rumors of new management are swirling. I hope they get this once wonderful hotel back to it's former glory. But it's not there now.

We stayed just one night here on a college visit to Ole Miss, wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel was beautiful and the service was wonderful, from the sweet girls that checked us in to the cute bartender in the restaurant, I wish I remembered their names. The food was also amazing, we had the shrimp and grits and lobster Mac n cheese, delicious! I highly recommend this hotel for you next trip to Oxford. Ole Miss is a beautiful campus and Oxford is the cutest town, we loved our time there!

My recent stay at Chancellor's House in Oxford, MS was amazing! The staff went above and beyond to make my stay special, they were extremely accommodating and recommended some great places for dining and cocktails. I stayed in the premiere king which had optimal space and all the charm i was looking for. I was also informed that they're planning some exciting renovations to the property and I can't wait to come back and see what they do.

Locked out of room and unable to get personal items until midnight. Yellow stained bath cloths on display and holes in towels. Roaches noted. Barking dog next door. Room rates increase to $1500 per night on game weekends

this is supposed to be the premier hotel in Oxford, but there were dead cockroaches in the lobby (plural, at different times of the day), hairs left in the bathroom and tub--very clear it hadn't been vacuumed well in who knows how long. I was there when there was a town mask mandate and not a single worker was wearing a mask. When I got home I had to take a shower as I didn't think their shower had been scrubbed in ages. Mildew and splatter in every corner of the bathroom. UGH. Location and front desk were terrific (minus not wearing masks).
