Big surprised there was no water when we woke up after first night stay at this hotel. The building is a bit of complicated room was not easy to find. Surrounding area was not met our expectations overall looked unclean. It has been disappointed. We required big bed but they provided us 2 beds put together but can be seen.

The room was very nice and big space, the bed was comforted, big toilet and out door bath-tub. The breakfast is tasty and varyties. - The hot water unstable, we put the hot water in the bath tub, then the water gething cold, have to wait more 15-20 minute to boil the hot water. - The breakfast area was nice, fully of bamboo trees, nice weather but a bit wet coz of raining. - The big pool under renovation, available for kids pool only.

We got a suite room (one bed room with living room). The room is spacious and well equipped. Service is impeccable. Breakfast buffet is minimal but adequate. Restaurant is located in the garden. You would need to walk for 500 m. from the lobby. It is not be a good choice for orders. The walkway is wheel chair accessible though. Some area especially swimming pool need renovation.

For the price, this is a decent hotel with a pool, gym and sauna in Khao Yai. The hotel, as the name suggests, is very green with lots of trees and really nice view especially if you are facing Khao Yai National Park. Service staff are friendly and service is good. The rooms are quite decently sized. Premium toiletries are used (ie Thann- branded) which is awesome. BUT… As many reviewers has mentioned, this hotel has seen better days. The corridors of the rooms starting to age, the rooms itself isn’t very clean. We booked 3 rooms. 1 room is clean. The other 2 had spider webs and 1 of the 2 rooms had more than 6 small spiders nesting in the corners of the false ceilings in and above shower/toilet areas. We feedback to the reception who promptly calls for a clean up of the room. The room is now cleanse thoroughly rid of all spider and webs. Service recovery is excellent. The pool is littered with leaf which is understandable considering the trees around it. I do see staff cleaning the pool now and then. The gym is very basic with dumbbells up to 25kg and treadmills. They have a flat bench. Would be good to upgrade that bench to a adjustable one. (For incline and decline workouts). The sauna is not in used probably because public changing rooms is old and perhaps slightly dirty. The breakfast is ok for the price we paid. But the pond outside the restaurant is dirty and it looks abandon. Overall, I would not think that this is a 5* resort. At its current state, it would be a 3.5* hotel for me. Probably covid has resulted in a lack of maintenance of the property. With some clean up, upgrades, it would probably then be a 5* hotel.

A lovely and sophisticated mountainside property in Khao Yai, Thailand

Dear Thailand Traveler, My family and I spent 4 nights at Botanica Khao Yai over a long holiday weekend during May 2022 and we had a very nice and memorable stay. The COVID-19 pandemic has crushed tourism in Thailand and around the world, and this has left property owners reeling. It is, therefore, quite easy to find things to criticize at any resort when very few people are traveling. Taking that into consideration, we found all of the essential aspects of our stay quite to our satisfaction. The room was great, everything worked well, and we enjoyed a terrific view of a lovely bamboo grove against a mountain backdrop outside of the windows of our well-designed double room. The service team was professional and accommodating, and the overall ambiance of the property was lovely. The Nespresso coffee maker in the room and the complimentary snacks and soft drinks are also a nice feature. Botanica is a special destination that I am able to happily and confidently recommend to anyone visiting Khao Yai. By the way, all of the available rooms were fully booked during the first 3 days of our 4-day stay, so I don't recommend assuming room availability with no reservation. Best/Kevin Khon Kaen, Thailand
