DO NOT STAY HERE
If I could give this hotel a negative rating I would. I am currently laying in bed at this hotel, if I could leave here I would, in a heartbeat. All the hotels here are booked up other than here. First, we walk into the lobby & check in. It looks pretty nice & the check-in guy was great, very friendly. As we enter into the elevator we smell a dog & cigarette smell mixed. We get off on level 3 & the smell was so much stronger and breathtaking. As we walk to our room the hallways were disgusting. Not vacuumed, carpets stained, & pieces of paper trash all the way down it. We enter our room and the smell REAKS. I begin looking around & there is: •dust all over counter tops •mini fridge not wiped down or cleaned out (there was a bowl left in there from the previous guest) •unclean sheets & comforter •hair in bed from previous guest •the carpet hasn’t been vacuumed in I don’t know how long •the shower walls were absolutely disgusting & not clean •small fruit flies in the room •begins the bed is dirty socks & trash Let me add, as me & a few friends are trying to sleep a guy comes banging on our door trying to get in and opens the door with his own key without giving us a chance to open it ourself. He then states “I am the maintenance guy, I need to check on the hole in the wall”. UHM excuse me?! It’s 11 at night & he opened our door while we were almost asleep. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE RATES MAY LOOK GOOD BUT THIS US ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Now, I am laying here disgusted & scared someone is going to walk in at any time.
Hometown visit Memorial Day weekend
I was born and raise in Palatka, Fl. Visiting home for Memorial day weekend. I wasnt expecting the Ceasar Palace.. but this hotel has gone down. As far as cleaniness.. We had to get a new room because to linen was DIRTY and the pull room sofa smelled like urine... Night staff was super nice and apologized for the inconvenience and put us in a new room. ALTHOUGH we paid for a studio KING but they only had queen beds available for a replacement. :( Breakfast lady advise the supervisor didnt order meat and eggs. So breakfast was mostly cold items fruit,boiled eggs, cereal... Overall the staff was was friendly with great customer service... However this hotel could use a good spring cleaning...
This hotel has gone WAY downhill. To begin, a manager was at the front desk and brushed us off when we walked up to the desk to check in, saying someone who was already helping another guest with an extensive issue would help us. All other employees we ran into were similarly rude and dismissive. The hallways are dank, musty, and unclean. There is mold in the stairwells. The rooms are barely cleaned, with dust on many surfaces and gathering of gunk in corners. The fixtures are all loose in the bathroom, giving the impression that changing the temp in the shower will cause the handle to fly off. In addition, we had terrible neighbors shouting at 2am and when we called the front desk, absolutely nothing was done to resolve this. I would have changed hotels had the town not been sold out due to a bass fishing tournament.
Worse stay ever
I have never and will NEVER stay at a Sleep Inn & Suites again nor will I ever recommend them. I frequently stay in hotels and have never had this many issues within a stay, let alone just an overnight. An hour within checking in the toilet stopped working. I went to the front desk and they told me they couldn’t do anything about it because maintenance wouldn’t be back until 8am the next morning. She wrote a letter for the morning shift and nobody ever came to fix it. The Lamps in the room had rust on them and wouldn’t hold a charge on my phone. I went to get ice on my floor but the ice and vending machine had been taken out. So out of convenience I had to go to the next level in order to get ice. Once I could get ice I noticed that it had black specks in it so I couldn’t even use it. There was also some leftover food in the sink in bathroom. I went to have breakfast the following morning and again was disappointed. The eggs were watery and bland. The ham was dry and looked like it was from the previous morning breakfast. The bagel was also rubbery and old tasting. It smelled like mold in the hallway and I could see stains as well. Finally our TV kept skipping channels and wouldn’t turn off so we had to unplug it. Though the staff was cordial I still would not recommend this chain to friends or family.
Poor Customer Service
I didn't even get to stay, but I will tell my story and scream from the rooftops for people to go elsewhere. Our son is getting married this weekend November 23, 2019 in Palatka, Fl. The venue doesn't have an area yet for the groomsmen to get ready so here is where we start. I have been calling for 3 weeks to speak with Henry to get accomodations. I called 3 weeks ago and the front desk attendant advised that they couldn't make any special accomodations for the rooms, I said OK how do I discuss this and see what can be done. She said call back and speak with Henry, he is here after 3:00 if he is in. Here is what was needed. 1 room for Friday & Saturday (normal check in) 1 room for Saturday (normal check in) 1 room for Saturday early check in like 10:30 am for the groomsmen to use throughout day to get ready and one active duty soldier will stay over night. Sleep Inn wouldn't even hear me. Just kept saying call back. I called back almost everyday. Never was Henry in or available. Today I called at 2:40 I'm told call after 3:30. I called about 6 and I'm told he isn't in. I say do you have a number to contact him at so he can call me. She says No. I say what it there is an emergency, she said we leave notes on his door. I said fine I'll call corporate. I speak with Nadira whom takes all the information, calls the hotel and is told by Kimberly that isn't possible without paying for a full nights stay for Friday and Saturday. Now, I was not asking for a special price or rate, just an earlier check in. I would have even considered paying a small early check in fee. Kimberly refused. So after 3 weeks of trying since this hotel is closer to venue, I had to make other arrangements. But let me say this, a sister hotel made reservations, respected our son and his military service and provided a reservation with no fuss or fight. I am absolutely disappointed that no one would even consider or make an offer to accommodate especially since we needed 3 rooms. We even have other friends who were going to need to book this week.... I hope the manager reads this and is as disappointed as I am!!!!
