Quaint boutique hotel in the heart of Palm Springs

We just stayed there for 3 nights and, overall, had a very nice stay. The hotel is very charming and inviting, and all the staff was helpful and welcoming. The room was a nice size, the bed was comfortable, and our private patio was an added plus. One issue in the room was that the ac unit was very loud when running which made it difficult to run while sleeping. The only other downside was that there was a lot of early morning noise directly outside our room. One morning the gardener was outside at 8 am. Another morning there seemed to be hotel staff outside talking loudly. If not for being woken up early, our stay would have a been perfect.

I've been to Alcazar twice now and it's great. Overall I think it's an excellent value for the money, and there's really no bad room in the bunch. Even if you're getting an unknown type of room from a discount site, the basic queen rooms are all along the first floor and are very charming. Not like some hotels where you book the discount room and it's like way in the corner in the basement. That being said, the direct website often has good deals if you poke around. I definitely recommend this place but there are a few things people should explicitly know
Pros: Free coffee/espresso machine all day, free pastries and OJ in the morning. Very peaceful chill vibe among guests. No partying, upbeat but not obnoxious music by the pool. Plenty of umbrellas and chairs for the guest population. Easy parking in the lot. Great location right around the corner from some great restaurants.
Cons/Be aware: No drink/food service at the pool, but you can get anything from Cheeky's (brunch, drinks, lunch) and bring it to the pool area, there is an easy passage between the two so you can traverse just in your suit/towel. The pool is, I think a decent size for the hotel size, but not a huge pool. This means when it's really really hot (like 115-120) the pool itself is too small to remain cool. I found it not as refreshing as I wanted it to be on a 115 degree day.
Hidden gem in Palm Springs.

This small hotel, hidden away in plain sight, at the edge of downtown, is a pleasant, relaxing place. The room - one of only 34, was comfortable spacious, with its own little patio with table and chairs. The pool area is very pleasant, and the place is quiet. They provide coffee, juice, and pastries in the morning. It is flanked by two great restaurants, Birba, and Cheeky for breakfast, very well known in town. Convenient and free parking. Friendly and helpful staff.

We were heading to Palm Springs to see how VillageFest was fairing since reopening - we were vendors pre-covid. I wanted to stay close to Palm Canyon so that we could walk to the street faire and Hotel Tonight provided a discount for this hotel! It was a few blocks farther then I would have liked, but was still a nice walk to the faire, stores and restaurants.
The hotel itself is a nicely updated older hacienda type hotel. The pool area is great with beach towels, cold water and a relaxing vibe. There are a few sweet areas where you can sit outside under trees and near their fountains to eat or relax.
The rooms have been updated with a very modern and somewhat stark vibe - all white everything. But, the bed and pillows were very comfy and the room had everything that we needed including a mini-fridge and a good shower. Since its an older hotel, the air conditioning units are the individual types that can be a bit loud. There was also a remote control ceiling fan.
They serve coffee, espresso, tea, juice and pastries for a quick bite in the morning. They also had bikes available.
