Run Down Building
Good Points: Free Wifi, Many restaurants around the area & near the metro Bad Points: Signage is very small, Stairs is very narrow, Room was not clean. I think you can find a better place with the rate as theirs.
Very old building
I had to haul my luggage up 4 narrow flights of stairs. I had an attic room - more than half the room didn't have full height ceiling. I could barely stand in the bathroom it was so small. It wasn't too far from Metro Station.
So, despite the reviews I booked a stay of 2 nights here for me and my fiancée. My thought process was "who cares about decor? The important things are location, price, cleanliness and a working shower" The owner was very friendly and happy to speak English for me, although his adjoined resteraunt down stairs didn't have an English menu (just thought that'd be a good idea for some hungry guests) The place wasn't very clean. Toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months and the sheets had dark patches. The shower is effected by every other room. So the water switches from hot to cold. Most of the time I felt like I was in a bad hotel booking ad or something. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of one is because the kind service and excellent location saved it. And I'm being generous.
I will not definitely go back...
it is close to Metro station, but i think there are better hotels to stay at the price they charge.no elevators which made it hard for us to bring our things, poor lit and small rooms, old wall paint, it is not considered a hotel but maybe a hostel. for backpackers this room would fit though i do not agree with the room charge.again, look for another hotel than this one.
budget in Paris
This was a good hotel for the price we paid. For backpacking it is a very good hotel. The metro is just a few blocks away and you will find shops and small restaurants. The rooms are very small and so is the bathrooms but the staff was just great!
