Riverside Resort - A Perfect Transit Resort

Riverside Resort is a lovely resort on the banks of the river Alakananda. Perfect transit halt for all travellers proceeding to Badrinath, Kedarnath, Joshimath, Auli etc as it is on the Rishikesh – Badrinath Highway and requires no detour. Our flight from Mumbai to Dehradun was delayed hence we reached here at about 8pm. The check was seamless and smooth. The staff is extremely professional and know their job well. The resort is really well maintained has lots of greenery, lawns and potted plants all around the restaurant area. The rooms were spacious, neat and clean but could do with some refurbishing and new upholstery or may be better lighting. The rooms are provided with a small but efficient room heater which is an essential requirement. We were tired and hungry after a real long day. We ordered the meal immediately on checking in and it was served without any delay to our surprise. Dinner was fresh and simply delicious and we got a feeling that our 9 days long vacation with end destination - Auli, would be an amazing food fest of North Indian delights. We gobbled up the delicious meals in a jiffy. . Morning woke up to the beautiful Alakananda river view visible from our room balcony. The typical North Indian breakfast of Puri aloo was delicious. Overall we had an amazing overnight stay at Riverside Resort. A special thanks to Gaurav Singh Chauhan and team.

Beautiful Resort to stay

We stopped overnight on the way back from Badrinath to Chandigarh. The resort is on the main Rishikesh - Badrinath highway near to Srinagar, Uttrakhand. Excellent location overlooking the Alaknanda river valley view from the balcony of the room. The property is huge with ample inhouse parking. The room was spacious with neat and clean toilet. The food was good. Will recommend for overnight halt to break journey to and from Badrinath

It is one of the most beautiful locations and very well maintained property. Excellent ambience. Room balcony overlooks Alaknanda River. Dinner Buffet was of fine taste - less oily and almost like home-made. Staff was very cooperative.

We landed up here on a busy Sunday evening. The room offered for a family of 4 was nice and spacious. The bathrooms were neat,clean and spacious with running hot water. The river valley view from the balcony was simply enchanting and mesmerising. The property itself is huge and well thought of architecture and design. The service offered by the courteous staff was amazing. Was every bit worth the experience.

Nice place to stay, but needs a few improvements

The resort, located a few kms before Srinagar, Uttarakhand, on the highway, is a comfortable and affordable place to stay on the way to Badrinath or Kedarnath. The rooms are spacious and neat with good views. The river Alaknanda flows just brushing the resort. But it does lack a few amenties like Electric kettle in the room and almost no toiletries in the wash rooms.
