The Glentress hotel is a fantastic hotel and my family loved staying there. The owner is always there to help and is willing to go above and beyond to make your stay as memorable are possible. The food at the restaurant is fantastic and good value for money. The selection of food is also varied which is great when staying there. Also, the restaurant staff were great. I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends. The hotel also hires bikes at a very competitive rate so it’s worth booking with them. I have stayed at other larger hotels in Peebles however I will only be using the Glentress hotel the next time I visit. Well done Murry and team

Exhilarating E bike ride

We had a great lunch before taking the E mountain bikes out through the forest trails. An awesome time for a novice like me as I repeated the hill loops getting used to the speed. It was also exhilarating for my teenage son as he went over the bridges and rocks! Great afternoon and can’t wait to go back.

Perfect lunch stop - lovely views and walks to stretch the legs. We stopped off with the kids for lunch on a long drive and had a lovely couple of hours. Lunch was delicious, pizzas, nachos and chips (to die for!) for hungry boys. Then a walk down for the river and up to the wee castle. Staff all really friendly and plenty of parking and facilities if you’re a cyclist. Would highly recommend.

Better value elsewhere the hotel needs investment rooms we're never cleaned all week had to ask for towels as they never dried owing to no heating anywhere in the hotel heated towel rail in bathroom was never working They never once came into our room,the sink well you could just get both hands in very poor hotel only plus point the staff were excellent we had to rebook and that part was fine they moved our holiday for us with out any bother but by Tuesday I think we were the only guest in the hotel more of a weekend place for biker's

We had a great stay. Murray and his staff were welcoming and friendly. The foods nice and the beers locally made. A hotel to accomedate mountain bikers owned by mountain bikers. We will be back! Thanks The 4Q CREW
