This is a pretty decent hotel. It is much better than the Hilton Garden Inn we previously stayed in down the street. We initially reserved a studio with 2 queen beds, but got upgraded to a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom suite. My kids were beyond excited because they got their own room, TV and bathroom. My husband appreciated the private bath and corner view with plenty of windows. It was VERY spacious. Our room was listed as having a king bed, but it seemed more like a queen. The pillows and mattresses were not very comfortable, which was disappointing. The bathrooms were clean. The bedrooms were fine, but a bit dusty. The kitchen/living areas were not as clean. The sofa was pilled up and had blonde hairs on it. The kitchen cabinets, stove, table, chairs and fridge had smudges and fingerprints on them, which I found a bit gross. Although there was a full kitchen, there weren't any cleaning supplies aside from a meager roll of cheap paper towels. No dish detergent. No disinfectant spray. Luckily, we didn't really need to use the kitchen. At one point, we used 2 forks and a bowl, so I called the front desk for some detergent and they brought me dishwasher pods which we didn't use. I bought Clorox wipes at the CVS down the street to clean up and left the bowl and forks rinsed off in the sink for housekeeping to wash. Despite these shortcomings, we will most likely stay here again. We'll just be better prepared. Also, be aware that the parking is first come, first serve. We parked and walked to our destinations, which was very easy since the hotel is right on Forbes Ave.

Unwelcoming/unfriendly front desk

The front desk didn't greet us. She acted like we are bothering her when we approached her. Didn't recognize or thank us as a platinum member. No customer service etiquette. Didn't mentioned about breakfast. She has a little smart and with rough attitudes.

Great Location and Staff

The hotel is situated perfectly for a walk across the bridge to get food or a stroll to the arena for an event. The room was clean and the staff were very accommodating. the breakfast area had a great outdoor seating area to get fresh air overlooking the river. The only downside was the parking, not convenient but doable.

No Housekeeping

Normally I don’t post negative reviews but I’m tired of hotels continuing to charge full price and providing no housekeeping services. I called and specifically requested that they turnover the room after the first night. I was told that they would, but when we returned to the room at 2 pm nothing no one had come by. When I called again they said “he” hadn’t gotten around to it. I asked them to come back after 5 since we were now back in the room but they said that “he” goes home at 5. Really, this is a Marriott. They should have more than one person in housekeeping for a whole hotel. When I complained at the desk I was told that we should never have been promised housekeeping. it was Covid but when pressed he said that the main issue was staffing. They only clean rooms after 4 days or when someone checks out. That is unacceptable. Let the hotel contract out to a cleaning company.. I’m on vacation and I expect the trash to be emptied and beds made. Don’t use Covid as an excuse or at least give guests the option to have someone come in.

Needs maintenance

Overall, The hotel looked nice. But when you look deeper you see that it needs maintenance. There was peeling paint in the bathrooms and around the windows. On Sunday morning they were out of coffee by 10 AM. However I will say the staff was exceptionally polite, helpful and nice.
