Worst customer service ever - ripped off my money

We stayed in Port Arthur at August 27th (sorry for the late review) with our 2 kids and had reserved a room for four with two queen beds. When we arrived the hotel was fully booked and our prepaid (!) room wasn´t available! The front desk lady wasn´t really sorry about that, she gave us a one king room and left us alone. Okay, so the kids had to sleep on the sofa sleeper, that´s okay for one night, but this shouldn´t happen. The next morning I asked if I could get back the difference between the room I paid for and the room they gave me (about $30). I was told it´s Sunday, the manager isn´t there and I should call the following days. So I had to run after my money, even if this problem was caused by the hotel! I tried several times to get the manager to the phone in the following days but after some tries I gave up and tried it via hotels.com where I had booked. They wrote several mails to the hotel but nothing happened! So until today I didn´t receive any money back and this is a rip off! Normally I should give this to a lawyer. We run a travel agency for US travelling in Germany but I promise we won´t send any customers anymore in the future to your hotel chain! We travel frequently to the US ourselves but something like this happens almost nowhere. The hotel was full with soccer kids and at Sunday morning the breakfast area wasn´t cleaned up for more than one hour! The items were empty, the tables were dirty but the front desk lady sat there bored, surfing in the internet and no other service personnel was in sight. If you would take your hotel policy (see picture) seriously, there would be a full refund of my booking! Instead you are even not willing to refund the overpaid money - shame on you! I´m still willing to solve that issue, but you will have to contact me.

Very good location, gym is clean and all machines work. Great front desk staff. Close to stores and great food. I’m here once very three month and the guy at the front desk remembered my name after my second visit.

exceptional hotel, very clean, great wifi, breakfast was good although you had to heat it up in the microwave which was no big deal, room was spacious, lots of room, We wish there was a different door on the bathroom. It was a sliding door which did not fully close, but again, no big deal. Also, wish the shower had a little more force to it but I suspect it has a low flow shower head, even with that the shower was fine. The staff was amazing, very friendly. We would like to give a shout out to Brandy who worked the 3 to 11 shift, simply a fantastic employee at this hotel. We would definitely stay there again

Hotel looks new, very clean and at least during my stay it was very quite, slept really well bed was comfortable pretty nice accommodations. Although you do have to request to have your room cleaned when needed, they do not do it daily. Had it cleaned twice and they did a super job. Plenty of room to store your stuff in the room, there is a good place to work as a desk is provide. Room also has a small kitchenet, which is nice if staying awhile. I did have an issues with the shower and reported it but it still didn't seem to fix the issues with very low water pressure and took very long to warm up. The hotel has many breakfast options which was very nice, also lots of food options nearby to dine at. Access to freeway was also very close which made it easy to go to work.

Nice hotel, but no water pressure in the showers

I really like this hotel. The rooms are new, spacious and clean. Bed is comfortable. It’s quiet for sleeping. Unfortunately, the water pressure in the shower is almost nonexistent. It’s like trying to take a shower in a trickle of water. My colleague on another floor also had the same problem. I don’t think I’ll stay here again.
