I stayed with a friend during the low season. The hotel was well maintained, with daily garden and cleaning maintenance. The Italian cuisine they serve there is of excellent quality. It felt nice eating something so authentic italian in Sri Lanka. You can tell and taste the owner is passionate about it. The rooms are very well done and a pleasure to walk into and stay in. 10/10 would go again.

Secluded paradise!

If someone asked me what my paradise would look like I would just describe this place. It is the perfect place to collect yourself and rewind for a couple of days. Nikola (the manager) and Anna went out of their way to make our stay as close to perfect as possible. Despite the current situation in Sri Lanka (lack of fuel) they managed to arrange an airport pickup in Colombo and we got safely to the resort without too much hassel. They are both warm and genuine people who generate so much good energy that it is impossible not too fall in love with this place. The place in itself is like a little oasis located on the beach. Our room was lovely and cozy, even though it didn't have AC the sea breeze along with the fan makes it cool and tempered at night. The food and drinks are simply amazing. Make sure you try some of their fresh smoothies while you are there, you won't regret it. If you like to surf you can just ask them to rent a board and you can take a 10 minute walk along the beach to Pottuvil Point. If there is a good swell this spot provides you with the longest waves in the area! All in all if your planning to go to Sri Lanka and more specifically the east coast I would highly recommend to stay at least a couple of days at Whisky Point Resort!

Whisky Point will definitely be one of our favourite spots in Sri Lanka. They have an amazing coconut garden just in front of the beach, and beautiful wood cabins with the best beds and pillows we’ve had in the country. The place is super peaceful and has really cool vibes. Nicola, the manager, and the team, treated us like family and they took care of everything, supporting us in every single way possible. Huge mention to the italian food and the hammocks. We had the best nap ever!! We really recommend this place!!

Comfortable, clean, friendly and stunning. Our stay here was magic. Nicola and Anna are amazing hosts that share their love of paradise with you. The beach huts are so wonderful and romantic if that's what you're after. Highly recommended!

Incredible in every way

There is not a better place to get authentic Italian food in Sri Lanka. The owner is incredible and Italian, thus, holding his food to the authentic standards it truely deserves. Hitting the mark for perfection by every metric. The atmosphere is incredible, the lighting, the perfectly placed palm trees and surf lapping the beach. A patch of heaven in Sri Lanka! Myself and my fiance had and amazing lasagna, perfectly seasoned and rich, topping it all off with real parmesan cheese and bread with real olive oil. The large portions are plentiful and the whole experience is topped off with amazing service from the waiters. For desert I had a rich chocolate brownie and ice cream, my fiance had passionfruit and coconut panna cotta. Both of which were to die for and perfect for finishing of an incredible main course. To indulge in the only authentic Italian ingredients, cooking and atmosperic experience on the east coast whisky point resort is a must try. Thank-you for the incredible food and evening
