Avoid at all cost!
By far the worst place we were ever been to, the room looks like it been in a war with holes in the walls, very old bed, leaking shower and more, no WiFi, strong smell of cigarettes , no reception/service, no English-speaking staff, poor breakfast with milk that's gone bad. Just bad, don't go there.
Reasonable Apartment in very good location but seems expensive in Peak Season
I arrived mid afternoon and had to call number to obtain instructions for code to obtain key although not problematic was not a straight forward process as the receiver did not fully understand English. The Apartment fully meet my requirements and had outstanding Powerful Shower (with endless Hot water) and Clothing Storage. The Wi-Fi when working was good but it was very difficult to configure and after numerous failed attempts decided to forget it and just use my 4G Connection. This wasn't a issue for me but could be for others. The housemaid was at my door every morning wanting to clean and change bedding in the room but l informed her it was ok to leave but towels were changed. The walls in the room were very thin and you could hear lots of footsteps from the stairs and creaking from other rooms. There is a Tram Stop 2 minutes from the Apartment and the Metro is a 10 minute walk with a 5 minute journey into the Centre of Prague. Therefore a very good location away from the Hustle and Bustle. The Apartment meet my requirements and I would return but the pricing would need to meet my pricing expectations otherwise l would look elsewhere as it seems quite expensive (solo traveler) for Peak Season. P.s if book don't use the ATM outside the Apartment as you get charged a withdrawal fee that is outwith the standard nominal fee.
Avoid at all costs!
First of all I would like to thank Apartment Amandment because I have learned that I will always now check TripAdvisor before I book somewhere to stay. Lesson learned! No matter how good the deal is or how late when booking! So...the "apartment" itself. In reality it is a room that has a fridge (that doesn't work). It's dark, unclean and home to some unwelcome bugs... Reception gives a good indication of whats in store...again, unclean and definitely in need of a lick of paint. Speaking of which...I was checked in by a man whose clothes were covered in paint! So maybe he should start on reception area! Overall...despite being in a nice area and only a short trip into city centre I would absolutely avoid...
I was assaulted by the staff
As with a previous reavjew I’ve just read, I booked and paid for a room here last week. I questioned the staff about the WiFi being limited to 30minutes and the man became aggressive and rude. He then grabbed me by the face despite being covered in bruises after nose surgery. He grabbed me by the arm and neck and threw me out of the reception. I had to find alternative accommodation at short notice and they still have not issued a refund for the weeklong stay I paid for. He had a stanly knife at one point and locked us into the building. I have multiple videos of this happening and have requested the CCTV for the police.
I stayed at this hotel for my stag do with 8 friends, we told told the hotel that we would be arriving late and they told us to ring the number on the door, once we finally got through to the number the guy on the phone kept on giving us a wrong code for the key safe to get our room keys, we tried to explain that the code was wrong but he just kept hanging up on us and it took us nearly an hour to get into our room. The second day of our stay we were woken up at 8am by loud banging on the door which turned out to be a woman from reception who spoke no English at all, she handed us the phone and a woman was on there who spoke English, she told us we hadn’t paid for the three rooms and we needed to pay £600 immediately, we tried to explain to the lady that we had paid for everything through travel republic and that they needed to get hold of them. They wouldn’t accept this and continued to pressure us into paying the money, eventually travel republic managed to sort the situation out. It seems pretty obvious that they was trying to scam us and it pretty much ruined one of our three days as we ended up missing on of the activities we had paid for. I would highly advise anyone thinking of staying here to think again!!
