My husband and I were here with our son and daughter in law for a week it was wonderful! My daughter in law enjoyed her first horse back ride and the baby horse kept coming over to our room for carrots! Pool was great, omelet bar was wonderful I wish we were visiting there again next month!
Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!

I am a frequent world traveler and I am bit astonished with some negative reviews of this place.
I stayed here on Dec 25, 2019 and I had an extremely good stay.
1. Noise free room - 2604.
2. Excellent, friendly, polite, helpful front desk. can not praise them enough.
3. Good hot water and excellent fast internet in room.
4. Adequate breakfast with good service. Eggs available on order.
5. had dinner here - full fried fish..was excellent.
6. Good internet signal in whole of the property.
7. Lot of plug points near the bed to recharge
1. Too many mosquitos..I would request the management to organize spraying of insecticide.
2. Too dark with no lights near the entrance. Like a horror movie cos was pitch dark for around 500 meters. Can be scary!
3. I had to change my room during my stay as it was located next to a family room and there was too much noise from family room which had maybe 10 people staying there together in 1 room.
Over all I highly recommend this place. will not hesitate to return.

We went with a group of friends. Our group consist of 4 Americans and 2 Canadians all Expats living in Roatan, Honduras. The grounds were beautiful, the pool area very well maintained, and the food was delicious. The staff was very friendly, and was very patient with our limited Spanish vocabulary. Ricardo was a great pool bartender who quickly learned exactly what we all liked to drink, and would laugh with us daily. Olga, Alejandra, Lisvia and Ernesto were our wait staff at the restaurants. They were all great. Olga took very good care of us, and was always willing to help us with our Spanish. We got to talk to Augustine (the Property Manager), who was very friendly and took great pride in the resort and his staff. Fernando helped us book a day tour to Livingston and up the entrance of Rio Dulce. Freddy was our tour guide, and he was great. Very knowledgeable and took pride in showing us Guatemala. I highly recommend booking a tour with Freddy. Exceeded expectations!
Perhaps the best hotel in this part of Guatemala

The studio villa I stayed in was very spacious and well appointed with high ceilings. The resort has two very large pools- one for adults and one for kids. The kids pool has water slides, a pirate ship, etc. There are lots of hammocks, a large beach, a marina, etc. The hotel is often full with day guests from the cruise ships. The resort is very large and is cleverly designed so the pools and other activities are far enough from the villas so the rooms are very quiet. The food in the restaurant is only average. The woman at the front desk was not very warm or welcoming though she was efficient and not unfriendly. I noticed that during my short stay I did not see any other gringos which I liked. It was good to see local people enjoying the nice facilities. I would definitely stay here again should I return to this area.

Last time I went it was awful. This time it was almost perfect. The pool had new floor, water lvl was perfect, drinks with Majano at the Ceiba Mocha were fun, specially the Coco Loco. The food is still really pricey when compared quantity/quality. A order of fries is Q40. For that money you can get an entrance on a better restaurant. Outside, go to Los Delfines, the best. They now got rid of the turtules, the ones that were being literally tortured in their house, they now have a tank with fishes but the water is dark as the night. The breakfast buffet... Q90 for 2 way beans, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, what seemed like frozen pancakes, and a ln egg station that had baby corn but not ham nor mushrooms. The fruit is great! I'll go back, hopping they will keep improoving. They no longer have or offer the associate's discount. Pic is of one of the hundreds of yellow chest birds you get to see and heard around the place.
