Great location but food not great

Room was great, spacious with fantastic views. Lovely walk in shower with lighting spectacular, his ‘n hers sinks tho no flannels or tissues. Good wardrobe space but no drawer space: shelving only. A significant problem was having to pay to use the safe. We have never been in a hotel before when we have had to pay to use the safe. Restaurant lacked atmosphere, with bright lighting and was very busy & in the evenings, it felt more like a cattle market and food Hall rather than a restaurant. The food quality was poor with tinned carrots and beans which were served up for breakfast along with soggy sprouts. You can have fresh omelette which was good, fruit and salad were also good. Overall, staff were charming apart from Mr Jobsworth in the restaurant who was rule crazy, directing people to their seats. This was not a significant experience particularly for the evening meal. At breakfast, there was a thoroughfare where people came by walking their dogs beside you and going for a jog etc. The bar was pleasant enough but again lacked atmosphere due to chairs being in a row and 70s music on a loop. Many guests came in and immediately walked out. However, the rooftop bar was fabulous serving good food at lunchtimes and great place to view amazing sunsets with a g&t. Swimming pool was well tended and peaceful apart from the 60s /70s music. Rules quite rigid unless you negotiate. Spa was brilliant and staff charming. Overall, a good, value for money hotel.

Very impressed with this hotel. A major renovation has been completed tastefully with well thought out design. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable with spectacular views over the rugged shoreline. Staff could not have been more friendly … special shout out to Tamara for her constant cheerfulness and Manu , but everyone seems to work very hard and be pretty cheerful, which probably says positive things about the hotel management. The buffet food was decent quality and varied and we were pleased we took the Half Board option. Both my wife and I had treatments in the spa which were all excellent ( although we didn’t use the water treatment circuit it looked very good from the outside ) . The gym was also spacious and well equipped for those who wish to use it ( I did a couple of times). The situation suited us as it was a little out of town … about a 15 minute stroll downhill into Puerto De La Cruz ….. the walk back is more challenging uphill , but it’s not far in a taxi if you don’t fancy it it. There are plenty of bars and shops and a supermarket no more than 5 minutes walk away if you need water or provisions etc. Our first time in Tenerife , I think we will definitely come back to this hotel this time next year. Recommended … should be noted it’s adults only though ….

We had a lovely week here. Such a warm welcome from reception. Our room was everything we expected and more! A quirky set up between bedroom and bathroom which worked rather well, once we had worked it out! We won't spoil the ingenious surprise 😉. Lovely location with a pleasant down hill walk into town. We walked back too but a taxi is only around 5 euros. Spa in hotel worth doing, especially if the weather outside isn't playing ball. We too, decided to do the wine tasting at a local vineyard, Tajinaste and must say a big thank you to Amy on reception and Martha at the vineyard for a few hours well spent. They also arranged our taxi's to and from, so there was nothing to do but turn up and taste! Would definitely recommend a winter sun break at this hotel with half board offerings more than adequate.

We visited Atlantic Mirage Suites Christmas and New Year 2022-2923. From arriving to leaving we were treated as VIP's. The Reception Staff are welcoming; rooms are spotless and serviced daily; the food is nothing short of inspiring, with all restaurant staff working as a team. I cannot speak too highly of this hotel. Do not worry that the hotel is away from the main resort. Within a five minute walk are bars/restaurants/shops of a higher quality than many of those 'down town' and most main bus services pass along this way. If you need the main resort, Reception will order a 5Eu taxi, with pleasure. We came home on 4th January - on 12th January we made a reservation for the 23-24 Festive season.

Lovely hotel , superb room with a sea view. adults only hotel

On arrival the staff were friendly and helpful. The room we had during our stay was well equipped and very clean, with a fabulous sea view. Unfortunately the weather (late January/ early February) was quite cold, not the winter sunshine that we were expecting. The pool and hot tubs on the roof terrace were great. Unfortunately we were unaware that if you wished to use the indoor pool etc and gym , this incurred an additional cost, you also have to pay to use the safe in your room. The food overall was ok, although rather tasteless at times, it became quite boring. Unfortunately due to the poor weather , excursions were limited. Overall we enjoyed our break. I would highly recommend a visit to Tajinaste vineyards, to do the wine tasting, thank you to Amy at the hotel and to Marta at the vineyard for making the day enjoyable.
