Pros: Beautiful rooftop area with tables. Great views and saw whales most days. Housekeeping was great!!!!! Lady at the front desk, I believe her name was Martha was very welcoming and always had a smile. Close to Malecon Cons: Air conditioning unit leaked very badly. Water all over the floor when it ran. Had 2 put down both towels and informed front desk 1st day of issue. Their fix was to turn air off. The next day we told them again. We had 2 get a big pot and put on floor and if the air ran overnight you had to listen to drip, drip, drip and empty pan to keep it from over flowing. This went on during our entire 8 night stay. Had and issue with the sink and it wasn't fixed either. Pool isn't heated and doesn't get any sun. Only 2 single outlets in room to plug stuff in. Very noisy with dogs barking next door at all hours. One of the guys who worked at front desk (Renee) was extremely rude. Uses a regular key and you only get one. Patio door doesn't have a lock. For the price we wouldn't stay here again.

Great Hotel and Great Price - Strong Wifi and Quiet Location

We booked this last minute for a trip after our AirBnB cancelled a few days before we were set to arrive. Because we were working remote M-Th we were worried about the wifi strength/stability and asked for a room close to the router. We had no issues with wifi despite being on video calls most of the time. The concierge staff is very helpful and provided us a mini-fridge in our room upon request and were always friendly and helpful. The rooftop terrace has a lovely view, shaded tables and gets great wifi service. The pool area gets good sun in the afternoons. Highly recommend if you want to be walking distance to the Melacon/Old Town, but in a quieter area.

We stayed at The Blaze for 5 nights in February. The location is excellent. The rooms are clean and comfortable.the pool area and the rooftop patio are excellent. I would definitely recommend The Blaze.

Very convenient to the places we patronize and to the Mirador Cerra de la Cruz. Taxis and buses just a few blocks away. Generously sized room, but tight bathroom. Quiet shower with abundant hot water. Great common terrace for eating,drinking and watching the sun set. English speaking front desk staff who are very helpful and friendly. We were offered the rental of a small refrigerator for our room but declined as this was a short visit. Wish there was a full length mirror in the room. Sufficient electrical outlets. Some noise due to the construction in the area and thin room walls made us glad we had travel earplugs . Lovely pool although I didn't swim.

Very nice staff and comfortable and clean new hotel very close to everything in central PV! Great value for such a wonderful experience and hospitality. Loved the view from the terrace! Definitely a perfect place to see all of PV.
