I found it to be the best place for the price.

Such a nice friendly hotel. The staff were always smiling and helpful, the place was very clean, comfortable beds, good breakfasts and one block from Central Park. I was here in February for over a week and quite cold in the mornings as no heat, but that's typical. I had a room next to the one way narrow street, bit noisy weekday mornings for an hour or so but nothing that really bothered me. Two nice outdoor patios that get plenty of sun. I would stay again.
Need to understand the concept of maintenance

I had stayed at this B&B a couple of times previously with average experiences. After all, you get what you pay for. This third visit was pretty bad. Water was not hot in the bath, soap dispensers were hard to use. Then water was off in the room and management was unable to let guests know and this unfortunately was discovered *after* using the toilet. Not nice.
Finally got a replacement room. Towel rack collapsed and soap dispenser was entirely non functional. Water hot but indications for it are exemplary (see photo).
Upon checkout had to go find an ATM - the POS in the hotel was also on the blink.
I suspect the basic problem is very limited investment in maintenance. Will seek other options in future if I can.
VERY Nice, but loud.

This is one of the nicer places in the area. The rooms are large and well decorated. The hallway (there really isn't a lobby) is well decorated also with vintage items. It's a good 12' wide with the breakfast room midway down. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Price includes breakfast, and they will do one load of laundry for you, too! (Might require a multi-day stay.)
The TV worked well, but there were only 2 English language stations, one of which was Fox News.... :(
Yes, it is loud. Every room, as far as I can tell, has a window - single pane, of course- that opens to the street. It's obscure glass with bars outside so you're safe, with latchable wooden shutters inside, but the noise is really bad - a nearby disco pumps out music till late at night, and the traffic outside your window begins at 6:30am sharp on weekdays. Fortunately I knew enough to bring earplugs. Note to owners- imagine the rave reviews if you installed double pane windows!!
They took my credit card with no added fee.

Nice little cosy hotel. One block from city square. Very friendly staff. Nice beds. Breakfast was good too. Staff willing to assist with questions about city. Lots of places to eat very close. Recommend this hotel for this city
Good location, good breakfast, good beds, unfortunately outdated bathroom with no good shower.

B&B in the centre of Quetzaltenango. You can walk to the central plaza in about one minute (maybe two). Our room was big (we stayed here with two kids), beds were fine. You are in the middle of the city, but the noises were not that disturbing. The breakfast was good, everything we needed. Only thing is that the bathroom was very small, and there was no good hot water in the shower. Such a shame....
The B&B is nicely decorated, with little patios. Personnel was friendly. Would come here again if they would update the bathroom. Free wifi.
