Very comfortable hotel
All you need they have.Breakfast was not available because of coronavirus . But they offered lovely fresh peaches and pomelos. Room was clean and nice. And room has refrigerator and microwave and coffeemachine, all great. Thank you.
Convenient location, overall good experience
I stayed for one night here, on my way to King Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. Staying in Reedley allowed me a fairly short and easy drive to the parks the following day as well as a reasonable price for a motel. The motel was very easy to find, and my check-in there was quick and smooth. The clerk there was helpful with a couple of questions I had. My room was spacious, and included a mini-fridge/freezer, microwave, coffeemaker, hairdryer, desk, and a small sofa. It also had a large TV, though unfortunately the picture was very poor for most of the channels - at least I wasn't really planning to watch TV that evening. The air conditioning worked well, and the room was quiet. Another convenience to the motel location was that there was a restaurant right next door - the Wakehouse, sort of a pub-food type of place, which was fine for me that evening. Aside from the poor TV picture, the major issue I had with my room was in the morning, when I couldn't get more than lukewarm water in either the shower or bathroom sink. I didn't bother to ask about it when I checked out, but I can't imagine that happens regularly. There was a nice breakfast in the morning, with the usual items plus make-your-own waffles. Overall, the positives for the Edgewater Inn outweighed the issues I mentioned, and I'd give it another try if I'm on my way to the nearby national parks.
A hidden, affordable gem
July 2016: 100th Anniversary National Parks Summer Trip. When we Googled hotels near Sequoia NP, this hotel came up on my search. The price was very attractive so I took a closer look. We reserve a room and upon arrival we found a clean room with extra towels, helpful staff and a generous continental breakfast. We stayed three nights (enough time to rest after a long drive there and after visiting the NPs in the area) and it was nice to always find the pool clean and open late to refresh ourselves after being outdoors all day. This place was kind of hidden off the highway between a residential area and an orchard so it was nice and quiet. We received a good value for our money.
Great Place near the King's River
Edgewater Inn is situated very close to the King's River and resturants. We've had a lovely room, GREAT King Size bed, couch and a big chair, along with the desk as well. What I liked best: NO carpets. Laminated floring is the best for cleaning, walking on, etc...
Glad it was only two nights!
The best point of this place is , close as you can get to National Park without booking inside the parks. You really do get what you pay for. This place is rough, from bad painting splatters all over the wall boards and floors. Bed was so bad I hurt for days after only two nights. Worst bed in years of hotels. To dirty( black bottoms) white socks from carpets and dirty floor in sink and toilet area. Pool area unavailable with room card. Did not waste time with breakfast ,for free ...bad reviews of past travelers. There were no roaches and the bug pictured by that review is an earwig not a roach...LMAO.
