This was our second time staying at the voyageur inn. Both times we really liked it. The decor is older. But we really like that. It's like staying at your grandma's house. I'd write more but no space.

This is a hidden-gem hotel in a small town close to both Wisconsin Dells and Baraboo. Overall, I would stay here again. Here are some pros and cons of my experience: Pros: -Ritzy vintage vibes. The lobby is decked out in red carpeting and chandeliers. The wallpaper features Victorian scrolls and there is classical music playing on speakers throughout the hotel. -The staff. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. Holly, the bartender at the hotel's lounge, was an absolute delight! -The Black Squirrel. This is the aforementioned bar/lounge attached to the hotel and the hotel's restaurant. The old fashioneds were $3.00! -The location. My husband and I loved the small-town feel near big-city attractions. -The price is right and you get what you pay for. The Cons: -Super dated and in need of major renovations. The wallpaper is peeling throughout the facility, there was water damage on the wall in our room near our bathroom mirror, and the screen was bent and almost falling off our window. Generally, it appeared as though not much was updated since the 80s. -the Pool. They are storing a pool table with curtains and wood on top of it, pieces of fitness equipment, and a ladder in the pool room, which is pretty unsightly. -the breakfast. The breakfast was a free buffet breakfast in the attached restaurant,, Marty's steakhouse. I was looking forward to a departure from traditional, bland hotel breakfasts and it unfortunately was not good, and the only items there were scrambled eggs, ham, and a cinnamon roll. They appeared to be out of some things. -the beds. My husband and I stayed in a room on the 3rd floor, and I did hear a rumor that other beds on the lower floors have been updated, but our beds were terrible. They were hard and lumpy and it was difficult to get a good night's sleep. There was also a yellow stain on the sheets and sand or other pieces of small debris on the fitted sheet that I had to brush off. Overall, the friendly staff, quaint atmosphere, low price, and unique style of the building would bring me back here again, and hopefully they have made updates before then.

Needs updating but it was clean. Good location. Breakfast was so-so but free. Pool is very out-dated. Had a king room; a little pricey. Would stay there again if needed a room in the area. Easy checkout

Very clean and reasonably priced. Controls on the TV remote were very simplistic and easy to use. Lobby is spacious and front desk is friendly. Room was modern and very spacious Bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay again for a fishing trip on the Wisconsin River. Outsanding!!! Five Stars!!! This is a hidden gem!

Our family enjoyed this hotel for a few nights. Not too expensive, simple yet very large, clean rooms. Perfect for a family on a budget near the Dells. I thought it had old-fashioned charm. Good breakfast too.
